This appears to be a North Carolina issue, so why is a Federal Judge injecting themselves into what is a state only matter? I know the US has far too many attorneys, but we also have far too many Federal judges who evidently consider themselves as some type of supreme arbiters of anything put before them.

It was Griffin who went to federal court to overturn the North Carolina Supreme Court decision.

Rather, this case concerns whether the federal Constitution permits a state to alter the rules of an election after the fact and apply those changes retroactively to only a select group of voters, and in so doing treat those voters differently than other similarly situated individuals.”
