This is likely due to their climate... Most Briton’s who have never left their country ever experience temperatures higher than 80 degrees Fahrenheit more than a few times during their entire lives. It’s typically either rainy or cloudy in the UK, and this dreariness can only lead to one thing... Depression and hopelessness.
Add to that their obsession with two of the most boring sports on earth, football (soccer) and cricket, and their acceptance and reliance on the Socialistic state that they have created and the hopelessness of their lives becomes even more apparent.
Their happiest times were during the days of colonialism... When they invaded and controlled far off lands where the weather was far much better, and the woman far more exotic. Now its all just dreariness and sad doldrum lives led in a muddy, damp and uninhabitable country filling up with immigrants.
