Given a choice between a true Trump basher and an opportunist posing as a Trump basher, Canadians went for the real thing.
Okay. It’s time for Canadian politicians to jump on the MAGA bandwagon. Canada’s in America too.
It’s not even ‘things will have to get worse’ it’s that they apparently have no real choices when it comes to candidates. No one to stand out, no one who really knows what to do or knows what they are doing.
We were blessed here that Trump decided to rise up and throw his hat in the ring. He won, not because ‘things’ were bad (imo) but it was because, finally, after decades of lousy candidates, we had a real choice!
It's hardly that easy. Trump battled the US deep state for 8 years. They smeared him, nearly jailed him, rigged elections against him, tried to bankrupt him and tried to kill him.
Only then did he manage to gain a majority of the vote. Look at the Le Pen's in France, or AfD in Germany - they have been in the political wilderness for decades. So it's not about "candidates." Its about someone who can even take on an absolutely rigged and controlled system.
Now consider Canada. No candidate in Canada can get close to even the starting point Trump was at in 2016, much less achieve anything as an unapproved "outsider." Also, Canada's "deep state" isn't even in Canada - it really is run at the highest levels by the UK.
