I first read this with the idea of shooting overnight being shot down now Indian sources confirm it and Indian media is hyping it that’s for sure.

Not exactly cut. It takes time to build the large dams and pipelines. Uptill now only smaller, run-of-the river dams were built to generate hydro-power. Now pipelines will carry the water south to another river. And if there a flood, the gates will be opened with only very little warning to the Pakis.
Yes, I thought shooting at each other, was kind of normal for them.
I don’t know which border crossing it is, but the Indians and Paki’s have an informal competition to see who brings the most flamboyant, over to top changing of the guard ceremonies. It’s a hoot to watch.
