Newsom Signs Law to Spend 15 Times More on Medi-Cal, Including Illegal Aliens, than on Fire Prevention

California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) signed a law that will spend $181 million on fire prevention in the state — and $2.8 billion on Medi-Cal, the state Medicaid provider, whose costs have ballooned thanks to his decision to cover illegal aliens.

The San Jose Mercury News reported on the bill, which Republicans opposed — despite the provision for fire prevention, including controlled burns — because of the massive spending on Medi-Cal:

California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed a new law on Monday that allocates $180 million for wildfire prevention projects, such as prescribed burns and vegetation management, throughout the state.

[T]he Assembly’s Republican members were staunchly opposed to a provision in the bill that sends an additional $2.8 billion from the state’s general fund to the California Department of Health Care Services, to cover cost increases associated with Medi-Cal, the state’s health insurance provider for low-income and disabled people.

Part of those unexpected costs? More and more immigrants who entered the country without permission are enrolling in Medi-Cal, Newsom administration officials told CalMatters in March.

Prevention is antithetical to the goals of commie trash like Newscum. He WANTS fires to clear the land so he can buy it up and build apts. Just like the Aussie gov’mt did to get rid of homeowners and put themselves into the rental business. Just like the beachfront properties in Maui will not be rebuilt.

The same would be done in hurricane areas if commie trash did not realize that if they tried it their corpses would never be found — folks in that area have balls.

After everything burns there’s no need to worry about it anymore.

At this point really you have to say Californians want this.

Why? Does it make them feel superior to ‘help’ others, criminals or not?

As I’ve said before on other California boondoggle’s( i.e. the high speed train from nowhere to nowhere) deduct the $181 million from any federal money provided as aid to the fire victims. If Cali can afford to spend this amount of money on projects like this they don’t need the federal money for disaster relief.

Show how low the governor will stoop.

He wants to get those illegals in and get them registered to vote - no ID necessary and someone will come by to harvest your ballot.

This idiot shouldn’t be running a news stand in Oakland.
