San Francisco has erected a statue of a woman with no clothes on which will be greeting visitors in front of the Ferry Building.
The 45-foot-tall statue was installed to "jazz up downtown" according to CBS News.
One worker was seen doing a "surgical procedure" on the statue's rear end.
The sculpture and base weigh 30,000 pounds.
"This sculpture is about being seen. Women’s presence in public art is rare. When they are depicted, it is often through outdated or passive narratives," said artist Marco Cochrane."She stands strong, aware, and grounded—calling for a world where all people can walk freely and without fear."

45 COMMUNIST GOALS AS READ INTO THE CONGRESSIONAL RECORD, 1963
22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all forms of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to “eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings, substitute shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms.”
23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. “Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art.”

Just as long as they didn't turn this into a naked statue.
That’ll keep the Coit tower standing straight
Carol Doda comes out of the Condor Club.
“Women in public art is rare” so we’re going to erect a giant statue of a naked woman like she’s some kind of slave. Not degrading at all. Perfectly fine.
Venus de Milo she ain’t. Too many limbs, for one thing. Also, ugly as sin.
What are the statue’s pronouns?
Meh.
Not even close to the worst “art” I’ve seen. The fact is mechanical and lights up, means its going to eventually break down. Though it is only guaranteed to be on that location for 6 months... So will see.
So, this is at least for now a temporary art display, which makes me wonder, how much if any San Fran tax money was spent on this thing.
Greet FAIRY visitors. 🧚
That is more a Giant Manuquin than a giant representation of a woman. If seen at normal scale, the robotic vessel in human form would be seen as devoid of passion or a soul.
It might as well be a huge wire Scarecrow.
San Francisco’s a white trash city... what can anyone expect from their ‘artists’ other than trash shock art. Auguste Rodin NOT...
For me, somehow “The Whore of Babylon” came to mind.
Ya the democrats have no idea what a woman is but they still made this ,LOL
Something come untucked?
If I ever travel to SF, I'll get my picture taken standing at his/her feet --- holding an umbrella.
