Forgive me if I keep my skeptical hat on.
1 Trillion represents 1/7th of the federal budget. I am all for cutting spending, but I am highly skeptical in 3 months they found 1/7 of the entire federal budget to cut.

Fantastic, though were it not for lawfare, it would be much more. Only 21 trillion more waste to find to get us out of this hole (or several trillion more to be made from tariffs and billionaire wanna be citizens).

He will make recommendations on what to cut. It is up to the Executive branch to follow through on the workforce reductions as well as the departments that the Executive branch controls. The remainder will be up to Congress to follow through on implementing.
I fully expect to see hundreds of Circuit Court injunctions to be issued and a wishy-washy Congress to punt on the making any permanent changes. They will crumble like they always do when the “Your going to kill Grandma” or “They want to eliminate Social Security!” ads start coming out.
