The world’s richest man has lost focus. His competitors are taking advantage
UNTIL RECENTLY Elon Musk had little need to look over his shoulder. He once described competition for Tesla, his electric-vehicle (EV) company, as “the enormous flood of gasoline cars pouring out of the world’s factories every day”, rather than the “small trickle” of other EV-makers. SpaceX, his rocket firm, had so undercut and outwitted the bloated aerospace incumbents that it had developed an almost invincible aura

Musk has single-handedly conquered space for America. The reusable Raptor rocket engine is at least a decade ahead of competitors and right now Starling has 7000 satellites in space with 23000 more planned. Those two companies alone, assure that Musk will remain the world’s richest man for sometime to come. Just wait until Musk starts putting gas engines into Teslas and making hybrids.
Musk could lose it all and in a year he’d be worth a billion again. Some people succeed some people fail.
Musk needs to come out with a gasoline version of the Model 3. Then we’ll buy it.
Oh No!
The globalist, deep-state Economist is “worried” about Musk’s business!
The Economist has never advertised itself as pro-Marxist and anti-American. But it should! It is as relevant as Time, Newsweek and the other weeklies that have barely survived the print era. Basically, it is irrelevant.
Maybe Musk should buy Jaguar.
I think that’s true. He doesn’t seem to be in anything for the money per se, but for ideas and challenge and technological achievement.
All electric space vehicles. I gotta see that.
the novelty of electric cars is wearing off
Musk needs to he careful
The loss of “The Economist” to the liberal globalists group was some 20 years ago or more. It has lost its mask completely since the rise of Trump.
You are certainly correct about its status as an irrelevant rag.
If he loses the world,
I pray be gains his soul.
And Jesus.
Prayers up for Elon Musk, God’s child.

I would think that solar panels would be much more efficient in space.
No. Actually, the parasites in government who have screwed Americans for years and years are who are under serious threat. The feckless political class is under serious threat. Globalists are under serious threat. Politically active but tax exempt universities are under serious threat. All of them as they should be.
The Economist was a cheering section for Bill Clinton from the very beginning.
any company can build a fast car
any company can build a practical, iron-phosphate battery
everything is too easy
I'm talkin' 100%. Fling that sucka into outer space. Then the panels can take over. Saving the universe or something.
Musk needs to come out with a gasoline version of the Model 3. Then we’ll buy it.
