Trump greeted with huge cheers from ecstatic crowd as he attends NCAA wrestling championships
President Donald Trump was hailed with massive cheers in Philadelphia Saturday, as he attended the NCAA Men’s Division I Wrestling Championship.
The crowd rose to its feet and heartily applauded Trump as he entered the Wells Fargo Arena and stood on the event floor for about a minute waving to the onlookers.
Broadcaster ESPN even interrupted an interview with national champion Carter Starocci to cut to the president’s grand entrance.

My husband has a work team member who has a son who is there wrestling today. I’m not sure how he did. Won one, lost one? We will have to check with her to see how things went, but this is pretty darn cool.

Trump is not a good looking guy in the classic way. His hair looks odd and is the strongest feature in any political cartoon. He speaks with an accent that many people find annoying.
But that man sure does know how to create a photo op!!! I have never seen a politician like him in my life, and that includes Reagan who I greatly admired.
Good grief. These people. They went so far as to cut the feed when Biden even looked like he was going to begin groping a child!
Our school district just claimed their 24th straight State wrestling Championship (moved down to DIII this year). Jim Jordan is an alumnus.
The final heavyweight match was a barnburner.
It featured the two time national champ, Olympic champ, world champ Gable Steveson against the Air Force Academy grad, Second Lieutenant Wyatt Hendrickson.
Hendrickson handed Steveson (102-2 record) his second loss with a come from behind takedown with only 20 seconds remaining. Hendrickson jumped for joy, hugged his parents and the next thing he did was salute his Commander in Chief before he draped himself with an American flag and raced over to Trump for a handshake and a hug. The crowd is probably still cheering.

Trump throwing some light on a WORTHY sport.
High school and college wrestlers are athletes with a lot of heart.
As opposed to other sports that I can think of.

Has anyone noticed that when Trump makes an appearance at an event, the crowd shouts ‘USA, USA, USA’ and not ‘Trump, Trump, Trump’ ? And how shouts of USA, USA, USA are never heard at dem events?
