The Left Is Trying to Cover up That Biden Left Astronauts Stranded
PJ Media ^ | 03/19/25 | Matt Margolis

After nearly a year of being stranded in space, astronauts Barry "Butch" Wilmore and Sunita Williams have finally returned home. Wilmore and Williams launched from Cape Canaveral on June 4, 2024, aboard Boeing’s Starliner capsule for its maiden voyage, only to face thruster failures and helium leaks. For safety reasons, the Starliner was sent back to Earth without the crew, and they’ve been stranded on the ISS ever since. It was a great moment to see SpaceX's Dragon capsule splash down Tuesday.

The sad thing is that they could have come back sooner.

“SpaceX could have brought them back several months ago,” Elon Musk said last month in a post on X. “I OFFERED THIS DIRECTLY to the Biden administration and they refused. Return WAS pushed back for political reasons.”

Trump himself addressed the delayed return of the astronauts during his Tuesday night interview with Laura Ingraham on Fox News.

“So when I came in office, I said, ‘Elon, we got to get them out. You have a rocket ship handy’—How many people have a rocket?—And Biden left them up. He abandoned them,” Trump said. “You know, we could have done this sooner, but Biden didn't want to because he was embarrassed by what happened. So they were up there. They were supposed to be there for a few days. They were there for many months, and now they're coming back.”

Of course, the left's damage control machine is working overtime. MSNBC, predictably, is pushing the laughable narrative that these astronauts were never stranded.

And then there’s former astronaut Scott Kelly, the twin brother of Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.). He also jumped on the denial bandwagon, claiming that "they always had a ride home." Really? Is that why it took almost a year to bring them back?

But here's the kicker: Wilmore himself confirmed Musk's account, stating, "I can only say that Mr. Musk, what he says, is absolutely factual... I believe him." Game, set, match. Wilmore’s daughter has also suggested that politics played a role in the delay of her father’s return.

Let's not forget that even the mainstream media — yes, the same outlets that usually carry water for Biden — acknowledged that these astronauts were stranded. It takes no effort at all to use a search engine to confirm this. All used the term "stranded" in their coverage. But now, suddenly, we're supposed to believe that they weren't? This gaslighting would be comical if it weren't so serious.

Yup. They didn’t want Elon to get any credit or good publicity.

Saw that on Brett Baier. Kelly said he watched the FIVE and they lied about them being stranded. BRET BAIER SAID NOTHING to defend the truth and The Five. Very disappointing. Thankfully Jesse took Kelly to task.

The Left are all Modern Day Nazis. They are doing the exact thing Adolf Hitlers Nazi Party did in the 1930’s. We are seeing history repeat itself.

Will the astronauts agree? The answer is no. They signed up for it and they know where their bread is buttered. They took one for the team. Happens all the time.

Remember the 30-40 Benghazi witnesses? Their lives were at stake and they all shut up about it. Therefore nothing bad happened other than a video pushing buttons.

Sick puppies. And you know some of these demented retards were praying to their satanic gods that something would go terribly wrong in their return to Earth.

Something I don’t understand:

Yesterday the narrator of the Spacex Dragon recovery video stream said repeatedly that the Dragon that brought the four astronauts back from the ISS had been attached to the ISS since last September.

If it was the case, the recovery could have begun before the Boeing vehicle had even been released for unmanned return.

I thought NASA had to authorize a rescue mission by Spacex before the stranded astronauts could return. A “rescue mission,” meaning a launch/dock/undock/return cycle.

But the Spacex vehicle was already present on the ISS, and Biden’s NASA just refused to use it? Is that what happened?

Yesterday was like the 1980s hockey game against Russia, a big positive event that reaches the public and instills patriotism and positive momentum for the party that delivered the patriotic goods.

I think this will have some of the lingering effect on some of the public’s image of the Trump aura, similar to that simple little hockey game, it isn’t world changing but it helps.

“they always had a ride home.”

No, they didn’t ALWAYS have a ride home. The ride home didn’t happen until the Dragon Team 9 arrived with 2 empty seats in late September.

They want to always have a capsule up there which they can use as an emergency lifeboat in case of disaster. So they wanted another capsule to bring the astronauts down in.

The reality is that a competition between Boeing and Space X for rockets and capsules.

Boeing lost. They have not been able to provide a reliable system.

The only other alternative to getting the Boeing2 home was a questionable Soyuz capsule that is docked at ISS

Keeping NASA's and Boeing's failure low key was part of the reason why it took so long to get these 2 back.

Not exactly.

My understanding is that the Dragon team 9 removed 2 astronauts from its mission, and replaced them with Williams and Wilmore, who were then obligated to help that team complete its mission before being released, in return for the hitched ride back to earth.

I think Elon offered to have another SpaceX Dragon go up earlier last Fall, but was rejected for political purposes.
