Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) told the co-hosts of The View Tuesday morning that President Donald Trump was trolling him when he offered congratulations for the longtime senator’s role in averting the government shutdown.
Schumer, promoting his new book on the talk show, was asked about the Trump message on Truth Social. Trump posted Friday after Schumer voted in favor of the continuing resolution, avoiding a government shutdown.

“He was trolling me,” Schumer told panelist Joy Behar when asked about the Trump message. “I know this guy.”
He added: “He’s trying to confuse people. He always tries to confuse people. He tries to hide what he does, and by the way, that’s another — you know, we — we Democrats are fighting them very hard… Trump — he tries to hide all this. He tries to hide all this by talking about Greenland or changing the name to the Gulf of America.”

Democrats are embarked on a no win strategy. We know their #1 policy is to “fight Trump”. Only a few people vote against. People want something to vote for. But even their second tier issues are unfavorable. They are pro men in girls sports. They are pro men in women’s locker rooms. They are pro war. They can’t win this way. They have even lost their two biggest support groups: tech billionaires and working class people. They have nothing. Their most vocal and partisan supporters want them to “fight Trump” and they can’t even win those people’s approval in polls because they “don’t fight hard enough”. But if they did shut down the government they would have lost the middle. Are they scared of losing the most extreme partisans? It’s not like those people will vote for GOP. Where would they go? (hint: democrat hacks tried to push people like RFKj off the ballots). They’ve got nothing but abortion and made up “racism” and bully tactics to try to keep people in line. No real policy. They got 80% of unionized public school teachers and university professors. They’ve got 80% of government workers. They’ve got the ever less important mainstream media. But it’s not enough to win imo.
