“Time to kill another 5 million chickens.”
You’re thinking too small. Biden (or somebody pretending to be Biden) had 100 million of them killed.
Uh oh. Time to cause some other crisis. Guarantee they’ll think of something.
This is why Governor Shapiro is killing all the PA. Chickens. He has to blame Trump ,he has to save the party ,so he can be the nominee.
Something like 2.19 Euros for 10 eggs here in Italy.
I was saving this for April Fool’s, but how about:
As a result of the planetary harmonic convergence that took place February 26th, Earth, along with all other planets in our solar system, is moving farther away from the sun. The alignment of the planets created a massive peak of centrifugal force, as the magnetic fields of the planets multiplied in the event. Nobody knows how serious this will get, or what to do about it!!!
(I will still use it on April 1....)
Chickens lay more as it warms up. This issue was going to get resolved anyway. The democrats played that card after only 3 weeks and no one cared then.
Now that prices are down, you can bet they ain’t going to say a darn thing...
All of the egg prices are because of price gouging. All of it...
Bravo Sierra.
Eggs currently $7.94/dozen “large” at Weis Markets.
$8.19/dozen “extra large”.
Price checked one minute ago.
It was easy to timetable this. From chicks, it takes about seven to nine *weeks* after hatching to get “fryer” chickens, and 5-6 *months*, or 18-22 weeks, for the newly hatched chicks (pullets) to start laying eggs.
And wholesalers and retailers are very aware of this interval.
Note: this timetable only applies to standard, or A&P chickens; “heritage” chickens vary considerably.

Next the left wingers are going to smash eggs to drive the price back up.
They have steadily gone up over the past few months and the last price increase was to $34.99 for a 5 dozen pack last week at BJ’s Wholesale in Portsmouth NH last week.
The price was still $34.99 for a 5 dozen pack yesterday.
Where are you getting this nonsense?
The biggest victory by a large group of birds since the Great Emu War of 1932
Where? Standard eggs were $6 bucks at Aldi today. Same as two weeks ago.
Not seeing it at all.
6 bucks at Aldi in Van Buren today. Not well stocked
Guess those 400 tons of eggs from Turkey are all for DC and other East coast markets.
You must be a Trump hater like me for reporting the truth.
Eggs $3.69 at a Whole Foods. They must be getting cheap again.
Yawn...when the brown ones get down to $1.29/dozen, give me a call.
I don’t doubt that egg prices have dropped in some places, but obviously not in the Oklahoma/Texas/Arkansas region. I checked a Kroger in Illinois; prices were about the same. I need to get some laying chickens...
I agree.
I just celebrated by pulling out 4 portions of my frozen partly scrambled eggs, which means I’m getting ready to eat one dozen eggs in about 30 minutes, but it’s OK, I’m having grits with them.
