Let’s crack open some truth here: The media is playing a shell game with the American people. They’re deliberately focusing on outdated February comparisons while ignoring March’s dramatic price decline. Even when they acknowledge the recent decline in prices, they are finding ways to dismiss it. Why? Because they can’t bear to admit that egg prices are now lower than the average levels we saw at the start of Trump’s term because it undermines the one effective talking point Democrats thought they had.
But the Democrats’ attempt to use egg prices as a political weapon has backfired spectacularly. Just like everything else in their playbook, this narrative has cracked under the weight of actual facts.
Time to kill another 5 million chickens.
Well then, the Dems are flat out of things to grouse about.
I checked the egg prices at two stores today, and the price of eggs ranged from a low of $6.99 (per dozen) to a high of about $11.00 for “free range” eggs. We have a high cost of living in this area, but I think that only accounts for a small part of the huge gap between the $3.45 claim and what I’m seeing.
The democratic party premise: “ we couldn’t get egg prices down therefore it can’t be done”.
BREAKING: Federal judge orders egg prices back up.
Not dropping in Michigan thanks to that stupid “cage free” law. I will have to cross the state line and pick up some contraband.

Unfortunately, the price drops have not reached northeast Oklahoma. But then, I believe price gouging has been going on around here all along. Homeland Grocery and Harps own almost all the grocery stores around here, and their prices are outrageous. White eggs were over $10 A dozen, 10 days ago. I haven’t been back to check yet. We do have Aldi around here. White eggs are over $6 a dozen today, brown ones slightly higher, there. At Walmart, white eggs are $6. There are some really good things about Oklahoma, but price gouging is a real thing, here.
It’s no great surprise that prices would drop again. After killing of the laying hens, it would be six or seven months before the replacement hens were old enough to lay, thus re-starting the egg supply.
I just checked, the decrease finally reached Walmart.
love the double-double entendre!
$7/dozen in my part of North Texas last night. I’ll probably see the drop soon.
The reduction is coming, it’s not an instant drop at your stores. Prices right now are most likely wholesale, not retail. When wholesale drops, retail drops. Give it time
What state? I’m in MO and eggs at WM are still 6.00 per dozen
turns out all that was needed was a new President :) (the line of that speech!)
Guess the Dems aren’t strutting about like roosters on this one. Nothing to crow about any longer.
Meanwhile, gold over 3000 and silver over 34. Stocks up today as well.
