From later in the article: "One of Mr. Trump’s advisers, speaking on the condition of anonymity to describe private conversations, said the Biden presidency proved to Mr. Trump that the stock market is not a foolproof barometer of the economy’s future, nor a useful indicator of voter sentiment. If it were, Mr. Biden, who presided over a booming stock market, would surely be the president, the adviser said, explaining Mr. Trump’s thinking."Just another way of saying "FJB."

Manufacture here in America.
Employ Americans.
Pay good wages.
It’s not rocket science. That’s Elon’s area.

Stellantis is a French/Italian (Fiat) company that bought out Chrysler/Jeep years ago.

Jeeps used to be as reliable as a Chrysler product, but now they’re right up there with Fiat.

These manufacturers should not be building poor quality cars in Mexico.
These manufactures should have not caved to the Biden’s EPA.

In the early 1970’s I fell in love with the Alfa Romeo convertible. Then I heard about how expensive the repairs could be and I fell out of love. I bought an MG TF1500 instead.
To: ifinnegan
I have been hearing that new inventory has been piling up for awhile and the big problem was nobody was buying. Seems like Tariffs would be a great way to get rid of all those cars right? What am I missing?
To: E. Pluribus Unum
NYT=BS
The car makers are getting relief from the impossible CAFE standards they had to try to meet. That is worth way more than the impact the tariffs will have on them. They dodged a full magazine of bullets when that idiot Harris lost.
