Nine students found dismembered by side of Mexico highway after disappearing on vacation

The bodies of nine students who went missing on vacation in southern Mexico last month have been found dismembered by the side of a local highway — with a bag of hands nearby.

The group’s gruesome remains were discovered in the trunk of an abandoned vehicle and underneath a blood-covered tarp in San Jose Miahuatlan on the border of the Mexican states of Puebla and Oaxaca.

Anyone who takes a few seconds to check out my FR profile page can see that I've visited some fairly exotic places in my life. But never have I set foot in Mexico....nor will I ever do so.

IMO any person from a civilized nation who voluntarily enters Mexico...for *any* reason...should have his/her head examined!

If they were from the US I would think the tanks would be rolling.

The cartels are just warming up. They are not going to lie down and watch their empires whither away. There are too many of them in our country, where they can do significant damage.

Sounds like they were Mexican students, so Mexico is their home. They were identified as being Mexican and from the neighboring state of where they were found in Southern Mexico. But perhaps you missed that, so I will bring it to your attention. Can't blame you because they were not really forthcoming early on in the article:

A dark gray Volkswagen Vento with license plates registered in neighboring Tlaxcala was discovered Sunday afternoon around 150 miles southeast of Mexico City, said Periodico Central.

Most of the victims have been identified: Angie Lizeth, Leslie, Brenda Mariel, Jacqueline Ailet, Noemi Yamileth, Raul Emmanuel, Ruben Antonio, and Rolando Armando.

The ninth victim has yet to be identified.

Agreed. I lived in Mexico City and Cuernavaca in the mid-sixties and never traveled alone and lived in homes with 8-10 walls with broken glass at the top. Mexico today is a death trap.

I found it impossible to read the entire article at the site. But there appears to be a lot of critical information left out. A lot of “tourists” are actually wannabe drug entrepreneurs who want to go to Mexico or Columbia to make a once in a lifetime “score” so they can retire rich. People who sell them drugs are encouraged to report them to the big boys who then kill them in hideous and public ways to discourage competition. This is how the cartels kept the prices up. Then the DEA wiped out the cartels and the drug prices in the US plummeted because anyone could buy and distribute drugs. The DEA created the ideal free market system which is amazingly more efficient than cartels. Now, it appears that the cartels are back and doing their old methods of controlling the price.

There have been stories like this since the 1970s and probably even before that. One kid who went to Mexico on vacation was killed in some bizarre religious cult ritual in the 1980s. Going to Mexico to get drunk and party is not a good idea.

Mexicans are bigger killers than Planned Parenthood. The number of people who die every year from Mexican drugs is horrible. Americans die, Mexicans get rich. And that’s fine with the DemonRATS. We saw that last night as they showed their disgust at President Trump for trying to stop the Chinese and Mexican Fentanyl business.
