I went with the Ontario Party Candidate—
he, unlike the OBP, the Green, and the Conservative showed up for campaign events.

The Conservative was drafted, showed up for no events, and looks like he will be at 55 or so percent—down five points.

Progressive conservatives?

******************

I don’t know anything about Canadian politics or the history of the progressive conservatives.

In the United States, Teddy Roosevelt, Taft, Eisenhower, and Nixon were all US Presidents that either used the term “progressive conservative” in speeches or had the term applied to them by others.

Was going to post about that odd couplet. Some fine logic in that party name.

The New Blue in Guelph is an alumna—she pulled well over a thousand.

One of our current students ran for New Blue in Brampton South and pulled just over a thousand. It would be good if the two could merge.

Is there a site where one can see the results on a riding by riding basis?

The CBC has a map that allows you to click on the individual ridings.

Cannuckistan remains lost.

It’s a far cry from the noble place I used to visit as a kid in the 50s-60s.

SAD.

Progressive Conservative...an oxymoron.

That one in six or so registered voters were willing to go with the oxymoron, which is more than any other category than “did not vote” (which captures almost 60% of the voters) is arguably a good thing-—roughly 2% of the electorate bothered to show up and vote for non-progressive Conservatives, who, in the form of an independent, did capture one of 124 seats-—but this person was elected as an oxymoron two cycles ago and then found integrity.

There is another politician like that in Nova Scotia.

Ford looks like a cross between Kaine and Walz

Definitely better than Walz. Probably better than Kaine.

I would put him around Manchin. Better than Romney in most ways. And I would say better than Graham, but that is because I value integrity.
