It'll come.
Agree with you 100%.
Balanced Budget? I don’t see how he gets there without massaging the numbers like Clinton did.
Plus, balancing the budget for one year is a show that doesn’t change anything. You have to balance for a lot more years PLUS pay down the existing National Debt.
Most cabinet secretaries are so new they are still getting lost going to the head.
The miracles will come—just show a little patience.
The key is momentum.
All that exponential growth in the federal debt has to be slowed down, then stopped, then turned around....
DOGE has just begun.
Staff cuts have just begun.
In a year we will be in a much better place to see where we are.
Call your Congress Critters.
They and the peeps who re-elect [and those who buy and sell ] them are the problem.
Thanks for this. I was at a church meeting from 11:30 to 3:00 so missed EVERYTHING.
My takeaways:
- From the distance and angle of the camera, Linda McMahon looking like she was channeling Hillary Clinton — from the outfit and jewelry to the haircut and color, and pursed, measured smile.
- Marco looked very uncomfortable with the question about the cabinet not being happy with Elon. In stark contrast to Hegseth and Lutnick, who yukked it up when Trump threatened the cabinet over it and applauded Elon raucously, Marco pretty much sat on his hands with a sour face.
Didn’t see the whole thing.
I wonder where he got that number from.
Of course, he has been known to exaggerate to make a point. But seriously, do that many families find a way to hide it? Are these juiced-up estimates from those in the drug recovery biz? Is it that we simply don’t test for it enough?
So what’s up with all the managers of these ghost employees? Or do the managers not exist either? How about the managers of the managers? Is it empty turtle shells all the way up?
While the Trump administration is being open about many things I’m sure there are plenty that they’re holding close to their chest. “look over here and have your conniption fits and file all your lawsuits but in the background we’re doing some even more serious work.”
👍
You are asking the right questions.
Federal managers have no union protection.
Then can and almost certainly will be at the front of the line to be cut in the upcoming RIFs.
I love that Benjamin Franklin is the statuette in the niche in the rear wall, overlooking the meeting.
