Not exactly done on the first day, but that'll do.

“However, former President Joe Biden ordered the pipeline cancelation via executive order on his first day in office in January 2021, leading to thousands of job losses.”

And that is why we don’t care about all the federal job loses.

Subsidize it if we have to BUT GET IT BUILT. Pronto.

I want this done just to shove it down the Gaia Worshipers’ throats as much as for the benefits it would bring.

Let me add.....along with prioritizing Keystone and getting it built whatever it takes, the same goes for ANWR. Drill it whatever it takes even if we have to subsidize somebody to do it. Same rationale as before. Shove it right down the Gaia Worshipers’ throats.

He can call for it, but some projects are just too big to try once they’ve been canceled.

I hope I’m wrong.

And where does the oil sand come from? Canada. One would expect that Trump going after Canada being the 51st state was just telling Fidel’s spawn to get going and whatever tariffs thrown at us by the Canucks they’ll feel it back.

Agreed. But, won’t some district judge somewhere just block it, like they’ve done with everything else?

Personal opinion is that if blocking is attempted, Trump will simply ignore it and dare the judge to try to enforce it. Appeals take too long. Go Trump go.

I don’t get the negativity. I expect that only the name will be the same, and that’s a good thing. Some, and maybe only some, of the work that has already been done will be useful.

America needs the jobs and energy. Europe is going to freeze to death, strangled by their Paris Accords. The example that America sets will determine how much they suffer. People won’t willingly eat bugs, while they watch Americans eat steak.

There’s a new Sheriff in town. The FAA just expressed approval for a Space-X launch. Maybe FedGov can save some money on robe-cleaning costs.

Not unless the feds enter into a contract that pays them for yet more losses if it is canceled yet again.

The pipeline is a tax increase facilitator. All the crude flowing through the pipeline will be taxed at 25%. The Trump tariff is a tax on the import of Canadian oil.

No company is going to come in and spend millions of dollars when the entire thing can be scrapped with an Executive Order from the next guy.

That whole “Fool me twice” thing comes into play.

Decades ago, the Greenies got the Alaska pipeline shut down before completion. They hailed it as a great victory and said it would NEVER be completed.
I said that if there was an oil shortage it would be.
Then came the Arab Oil Embargo.
The Alaska pipeline was finished quick time.
I felt the same way about the Keystone.
When it was shut down by Biden I noticed a sudden upturn in the KCS-Canadian Pacific rail line going by my house, hauling hundreds of BRAND NEW oil cars south to refineries in Texas. Some of Biden’s cronies are making a killing in hauling oil from Canada.

I thought Trump would restart this on the first day.

But, it’s only been a month so all is good - I remember all the workers who immediately lost their jobs after Biden came into office and nixed the project.
