Rick Caruso Introduces Free Prefab Homes for L.A. Fire Victims to Speed Return (He ran for mayor)

Developer Rick Caruso’s non-profit organization, Steadfast L.A., is introducing free prefabricated homes for people to live in on their property in Pacific Palisades, Malibu, Altadena, and Pasadena if they cannot yet afford to rebuild.

In a press statement, Steadfast L.A. said that it “is partnering with CA-based company Samara to donate high-quality, prefab, small homes for people who face devastating circumstances after the wildfires.” The homes are “designed to allow homeowners who lost everything to remain in their communities at no cost.” Funding will come from the Caruso Family Foundation, as well as from Samara and Airbnb co-founder Joe Gebbia, who will donate $15 million. The homes feature two bedrooms and two bathrooms, and resemble the postwar bungalows that were originally used to build much of the Pacific Palisades in the mid-20th century, before homeowners could afford to build larger ones.

Nice. Let's see if the stalinists like Bass and newscum allow it. Gotta save whatever endangered species is affected.

My relatives in Beverly Hills escaped incineration but if they hadn’t, and you offered them a free pre-fab, they’d be too snobby to take it. And they’re not even Democrats.

Watch the permits be delayed or denied.

His loss is still a major, major sore point for me and many Angelinos remain too stupid to realize the error of their ways. (Or people think he won but that election shenanigans were at play.)

Caruso developed the few remaining walkable, aesthetically pleasing public spaces in the city. Feel free to google: The Grove and The Americana. AND he served Los Angeles in the Dept of Water and Power throughout the 80s and knows what he’s talking about when it comes to infrastructure.

He is also a practicing Catholic, USC’s Catholic center is named after him. AND he also transformed the USC campus into a more walkable, shoppable space well in a really rough and tumble part of town.

Praise God Trump won the far more consequential and important race. I take comfort in that.

Caruso was actually winning against globe-trotter
Bass but election shenanigans were at play.

That's a sad attitude for them to take.

I've been up and down at times in my life. Every day when I say my prayers I give thanks to
God for a roof over my head, and food on the table. Eternally grateful to God for his goodness.

Prefab homes are a palace compared to no home at all. Absolutely palatial.

He’s not black, lesbian, Woke nor a DemoRat. Can’t have a competent, non DEI hired for mayor of LA.

Building structures is the easy part. Hooking them up to water, sewer, electric, gas and communications is going to be the problem part.

Caruso had the support and endorsement of numerous for example, Korean business owners and other minority small business owners who have been suffocating under increasing strands of red tape.

But the woke white people of the — Pacific Palisades and other like areas voted for Bass. As a sort of self righteous act of penance to make up for how exclusive and removed from the city’s main woes they otherwise are.

Now look what happened. 🙄

He was a Bill Clinton Democrat like Richard Riordan. Even switched to Independent for the run. LA did this to themselves.

Kawalama Harris better get off her butt if she’s going to be governor of Cauliphonya. Caruso and Bass are eyeing that job.

Rick Caruso obviously would have made a FAR better mayor than Karen Bass.

But, as this is LA, I suspect Bass will easily and handily win reelection - put back in office by those who were burned out of their homes in Pacific Palisades. They can’t tolerate a male - a White male - as mayor of LA, no matter how inept Bass is.

Never Forget that over 2/3rds of the residents in the Palisades fully endorsed Bass, Newsom, Biden and they Financially supported the Sierra Club. I DON’T CARE. They deserve whatever happens

“His loss is still a major, major sore point for me and many Angelinos remain too stupid to realize the error of their ways. (Or people think he won but that election shenanigans were at play.)”

I hear ya. I’m a part-time SoCal resident, and I watch L.A. local news when I’m down there. Caruso vs. Bass was such a stark contrast — such a binary choice — between successful, competent doer running on a pro-business, anti-crime platform versus career politician running on a platform of the status quo. As a sane, rational person, you look at the sorry state of affairs in much of L.A., and you think, “How can Caruso possibly lose?” And yet a majority of voters said, “No, thanks. We’re good. More of the same, please.”

That was my first question. LA has their standards, ya know. Maybe he can ship the homes to Hawaii and NC.

A recent clip of Caruso discussing that race. L.A. is paying for how dirty the woke progressives did him:

As a real estate investor who does residential renovations, I think you’re right. At best, they’ll have a caveat that it only be temporary.

"Nice. Let's see if the stalinists like Bass and newscum allow it."

indeed ... this is a fantastic plan: helps folks who've lost everything AND creates a significant dilemma for martinets like Bass ... WHEN she disallows this for fill-in-the-blank, it will put the lie to her BS rhetoric, and HOPEFULLY further outrage the fools who voted for her and her ilk to start with ...

Thanks for that. Yes, Jeffrey Katzenberg, Steven Spielberg and J.J. Abrams all bankrolled Bass’ campaign. Why? These men are not “stupid” per se. Leftism is truly a mental disorder.
