Sadly....it will never happen. The only way to get her is if she’s pulled over in Louisiana.
Can’t they send the US Marshals to get her?
Got a thing going in Texas too.
Oh yea I’ve posting about it too. New York is abortion central.
They might have to take it to congress..that’s supposed to be one of their jobs. Congress is supposed to decide disputes between the several states.
Oh wait I just had another thought!!!
Dog the Bounty hunter! Could he go get her???
Thing about it is they said Roe was to be left up to the states.
Some states have said Roe no more and made it illegal. So don’t they have the right to put those people in jail who break those laws?
If women want the abortion then go to states who have legal abortion.
In this case the teen in this story wanted her baby. The girl had even had a gender reveal party. It was her mom who slipped her the abortion drug! This was a “forced abortion”. The girl ended up in hospital because of this.
First,I’d wager that the Federal courts will overturn the law. But if I’m wrong it’s hard to imagine many states would honor the warrant. There’s no way that blue states would honor it. As for red states...who knows?
If she has a valid state id or other services (electric, gas ect). They’ll get her. She would have to be in South Carolina or Missouri to be left alone.
What a cesspool NY has become.
Abortion Central....just sickening.
Article IV, Section 1:Full Faith and Credit shall be given in each State to the public Acts, Records, and judicial Proceedings of every other State.
Barring exceptional circumstances, one state must enforce a judgment by a court in another, unless that court lacked jurisdiction, even if the enforcing court otherwise disagrees with the result.
What an evil mother!
Nope, not in this case.
The NY doctor did not flee from LA
US Constitution
Article IV
Section 2 Interstate Comity
Clause 2 Interstate Extradition
“A Person charged in any State with Treason, Felony, or other Crime, who shall flee from Justice, and be found in another State, shall on Demand of the executive Authority of the State from which he fled, be delivered up, to be removed to the State having Jurisdiction of the Crime.”
Have you ever tried to present your CCW card to a cop in a state other than your state?
Interesting point and no doubt one of the unintended consequences of the law. I have no doubt it’ll go a step further.. Boyfriends slipping it to girlfriends, bosses to interns.
No its a state issue, But Dog the Bounty Hunter is available for a price.
The provision of abortion drugs by mail involves several crimes - all felonies. From practicing medicine without being licensed, not having a drug permission license in Louisiana, and mailing the drugs without seeing and consulting with the recipient. penalty is anywhere from 5 to 10 years of hard labor. Louisiana is serious about this.
If NY won’t extradite, then the doc won’t be able to travel to any other state without fear of being apprehended there.
Gwjack
"it has been represented, and it is satisfactorily shown to me, that the accused was present in this State at the time of the commission of said crime and fled from justice the State ..."
Supposing NY ignores the extradition warrant. What will NY do when NY wants to extradite someone from LA?
