I have no sympathy for those government parasites.

Interestingly... Assuming you own a house and took the buyout offer from Trump, you’re still going to lose thousands trying to escape from your overpriced, overtaxed house. The only winners? The perp smart enough to have immediately put his house on the market after the election.

Market principles. Remove "supports" from government, and markets reconfigure.

The Milei example in Argentina is showing that removing government from that which a private sector can do/manage/accomplish shows that markets settle into something more rational than any "central planning" or plain old corruption can do.

Not to mention, the corrupt hate being exposed. More light, please!

We were all warned about Federal debt oh, about a third of a century ago.

Ross Perot tried to tell us.

There’s no more money in the kitty.

--- "The only winners in D.C.- Moving companies."

That's an amusing observation. Regarding markets and market behavior, recall all those news stories about U-Haul and other rental companies running out of trucks LEAVING some Democrat states?

I’ll guess most of the people moving out will be mid to upper level bureaucrats and average (for govt) salaried employees. In a few years the city will be increasingly occupied by wealthier people who enjoy city life and choose DC for non career or indirect reasons as they might NYC or Los Angeles. The embassies, cultural institutions, and tourist facilities aren’t going to be as diminished as the swamp.

Does these areas have that same confiscatory policy of charging local taxes to people that move out the way NY and Ca do?

Trump and Musk have cut more spending in 1 month than congress has done in twenty years.

Isn’t this just spreading the cancer to other areas of the county?

They’ll be running out of U-Haul trailers just as a lot of places in California did over the past few years.

Another observation... People coming in to join the new administration will be paying significantly less rent and house payments.

Time for the swamp creatures in Washington to face reality.

My dad lost his job when his steel-mill closed. My sister was forced to re-locate when the hospital she nursed at was closed. My brother was forced into retirement when his bank went through reorganization. My first adult job ended when the company I worked for sold my division.

WHY do Americans think that somehow government and its workers can, or should be, protected from all change? Where did this silly and impossible notion come from?

Protecting government, at all costs, now matter how excessive, is the source of our present Neo-marxism, corruption, bloat, and our $2 trillion/year deficit

Reagan said.. paraphrasing... Nothing is more permanent than a government program. Success is not needing government programs. Success is a society that can care for itself. All government programs need a sunset clause, not an infinite mission.
