Joe Rogan cheers Musk’s ‘business approach’ to government cuts

Podcast host Joe Rogan cheered on President Trump and Elon Musk’s “business approach” to cutting government spending through the mission at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

On Thursday’s episode of “The Joe Rogan Experience,” the podcaster praised DOGE for its attempt to rein in federal spending, even as the moves are viewed as controversial by many.

“What’s fascinating right now is we’re getting a chance to see what happens when you take a business approach to the government,” Rogan said.

He argued that the Trump administration and DOGE have uncovered “massive amounts” of “corruption and waste,” in addition to “a lot of weird, shady s‑‑‑.” Over the past several days, DOGE officials have entered into various agencies and begun to look for ways to cut spending.

The U.S. Agency for International Development was essentially shuttered, and DOGE now has access to the Treasury Department’s federal spending systems, which control $6 trillion annually and includes Americans’ tax records. The two moves have been sharply criticized by Democrats, who say people’s confidential and sensitive information could have been compromised.

Rogan argued that Musk and Trump are changing things up, knowing the president cannot run for a third term.

“So, he’s just going ham, and he’s just cleaning out everything and people are freaking out,” he said.

“The same people that say we need radical change, we need radical change, we’ve got corruption, we need radical change,” Rogan continued. “Okay, well here’s your radical change.”

The more influencers that weight in in support of President Trump the better. The Dinosaur media is in full screaming lie mode on the Democrats behalf

Great point. Same people that demanded to see your vax card in violation of HIPPA privacy protections, too.

It didn't help them because Trump voters went into stealth mode for 2024 election.

We kept our mouths shut. But Trump won the popular vote this time.

Lots of late teens and 20-something to 30-something males listen to Joe Rogan.

Don’t discount what he’s saying. He is becoming, in some ways, the Gen Z Rush Limbaugh.

Joe Rogan is more influential, IMHO.

Rush Limbaugh was great.

But all he did was to serve red meat to his base.

I have never listened to Rogan which means NOTHING other than his base is not old time Limbaugh listeners like me.

But lots of folk do who may have never voted for a Republican for POTUS prior to the last election.

His interview with Trump was a game changer.

Rogan gives Musk cred with the an important voting segment.

Don’t forget the 50 somethings too. I knew Joe Rogan from the UFC in 1997 till now, and 2001-2006 in the Fear Factor TV show. The Joe Rogan Experience started in 2009 to present. Anyone who thinks it’s just young boys following his podcast really don’t even realize how large his audience it. Heck even my daughter that is a SR at the University of Madison has sent me links to some of his podcasts. Not every pod is political. She sent me a good discussion with an astrophysicist. Oh, and yes, she is conservative, I know that hard to imagine going to UW Madison, but I can assure you not everyone that goes there are way overboard liberals, but the majority are. But it’s trending a little right ever so slightly. Trump gained in Dane county.
