Fans of the Toronto Raptors have become the latest group of Canadian fans to boo the U.S. national anthem during a professional sports game.
The Canadian fans booed during the Raptors 115 to 108 win against the L.A. Clippers on Sunday.
Raptors fans were not the first Canadian sports fans to boo the U.S. anthem in the wake of announcements of tariffs set by U.S. President Donald Trump.
Last week, Canadian fans at two NHL games booed during the U.S. national anthem, and now Canadian NBA fans are joining them.

The tarrifs against Canada need to end.

YOU HOSERS !!
With all their hockey hullabaloo, and that b___ Anne Murray, too.
Why?
eat a satchel of richards
Take them off the schedule. It’s only one team and will only effect 41 total games in the US of which the Raptors have to play away each year.
We play the Canadian National Anthem here in the US as a privilege for them and to foster cooperative play and good sportsmanship. We don’t have to play it at all.
Additionally, they can get hammered at their gate. In the NBA, the “gate” (ticket revenue) is split with the league taking a percentage (around 35%) while the remaining portion goes to the home team, with a system that also includes a revenue sharing model to ensure a more equitable distribution across all teams, regardless of market size; essentially, teams with higher ticket sales contribute to a pool that helps smaller market teams. The Raptors are current 16 wins and 33 losses. So they are truly a small market size and will fold under the losing of the rest of the NBA not going up thus suspending their gate money and split mrechandice.

Played right into Justin’s hands. Now Justin can become Canada’s hero by standing up to Trump.
Because it is hypocritical to only tag China for 10% when China is the number one exporter of fentanyl to the USA. And how about adding more border agents if the US is so concerned.
1. Canada is a great country.
2. Tariffs against Canada will drive up prices
3. There are constructive ways to approach border issues that don’t involve tariffs
You whine like a Canadian who has just been cut off from American scraps....
There sure are a lot of Canadians on this forum. They are all squealing like stuck pigs now that their grandparents ft on America is ending.
I posted a considerate reply to your question and you responded in a caustic manner.
Please do not post to me again.
You whine like a fish eating Canadian from the Maritime provinces who has just been cut off from American scraps....
Your handle gives you away. It’s a aboot time you guys got it in the shorts, yeah?
Ya don’t mistake Toronto for Canada. There are more burkas than actual Canadians in that oversized bath house.
Yes, the province of BC is cancelling contracts and removing American businesses from any procurement. Ontario has cancelled contracts with Tesla. I think if the US showed some interest in securing the border I think it might have been different.
Canada has been assisting the Chinese to get around tariffs for years and now the bill is due. I feel no pity for Canada. The next several years will be rough for them. I am pretty certain that future President Vance will continue the treatment during his 2 terms until Canada gets its mind right.
I didn't realize that! That much? Ridiculous, but if they used it to build a fence I wouldn't mind. So they're using our tax dollars and shop in our stores. Make them spend their own money.
That’s news to me. How does Canada help China do this?
