Mexico needs to crush the cartels exactly the way the US crushed the mafia.

We just returned from a vacation to Tulum (I didn’t want to go because of cartels but my husband’s daughter invited us so we went), anyway, point is, there is nothing wrong with Mexico, it is 100% livable. No reason for them to come here. In fact Mexico just elected a Jewish, female hugely popular President. The problem is the drugs and the trafficking.
Very well observed. These jackasses are trying to model themselves after civil rights protests, but the "civil rights" the Lefties want is to have the right of no borders, and the right to our wallets to take "free" for anyone who wants "free." Socialists, for all intents and purposes.

Mexico has the same upside as the US from a resources standpoint. It has two coasts, lumber, oil, arable land, beautiful terrain. Its problem is it’s a corrupt kleptocracy/narco state. Eff Mexico. No sympathy for those pariahs who have been gifted so much and want to wreck our country like they did theirs.
It may be that Mexico's government at every level including their military- are controlled by the cartels. I don't know that Mexicans have the ability to remove the cartels. Corruption multiplied many times comes to mind when I think of Mexico.
