Trump’s Second Week: A Turning Point in American Governance (excellent summary by Clarice Feldman)
American Thinker ^ | Clarice Feldman

Posted on 02/02/2025 3:36:07 AM PST by RoosterRedux

In his second week of his second term in office, President Trump has asserted the right of the Chief Executive to effectively manage the Executive Branch. He has blindsided -- even gelded -- his detractors in the media and Congress, and issued an astonishing array of executive orders which reveal how tax funds have been flowing out of the Treasury to the benefit of the Deep State and its friends without regard (and often even being inimical) to the national interest. So much has happened that I cannot cover it all, but I will try to hit briefly and in no particular order some of the most significant developments this week.

...

The Military

8,950 active-duty servicemen and 5,727 reserve troops who were transgendered have been removed from service and in their stead 8,000 military personnel who had been removed because they refused the vaccine mandate have been welcomed to return with back pay.

Foreign Students

Much of the chaos, disruption, and antisemitic activities on college campuses which the prior administration ignored involved foreign students here on temporary visas. The administration has begun identifying them, revoking their visas, and repatriating them home.

...

FBI and DoJ

Actions of personnel in these and other agencies are being scrutinized, and by firing, placing on leave pending investigation of their work, requiring them to report to work, attrition (refusing new hires) and reassignment...

Trump has accomplished about five times more than I expected in the first two weeks. I anticipate another week of surprising turns and appalling discoveries.

The Democrats did the country a great favor when they stole the 2020 election.

They gave Trump 4 years to prepare.

It appears he didn’t waste a minute of that 4 years in preparing.

Add to the list...

Meanwhile, get a load of this...

"De minimus shipment" is a duty and tariff avoidance scheme that takes advantage of the de minimus rule, meaning any individual shipment valued at less than $800 does not require the same customs entry and duty payment as standard shipments…

Shutdown effective Tuesday...?

Looks like significant our military budget was financing gender transitions.

I still say that those FedGov employees who are considering ‘resisting Trump’ in their daily activities should be greeted to the sight of several rotting corpses swinging from the cherry trees around the Fed compound during their daily commute. The ‘swingers’ would be those convicted of egregiously putting party above their duty to the public good.

It really should not seeing very many ‘swingers’ to get the message.

“The Democrats did the country a great favor when they stole the 2020 election. They gave Trump 4 years to prepare.”

Funny how things work out sometimes. Had Trump been allowed to win in 2020, the next four years would have just been more of the same. Instead, the disastrous Biden administration finally woke up many of the LIVs, and gave Trump the popular support he needed to do what he is doing now. And all of the corrupt lawfare and government malfeasance has given Trump plenty of ammunition to eviscerate the Deep State. It’s a beautiful thing.

That’s quite a list of accomplishments. But why are they going so slow?

I would like to totally unfund the UN and see their HQ moved offshore to Reykjavik. Our reason? We are $36T in debt.

We also have layers of judges who are carrying water for Obama’s posse. DC and NYC are conviction factories for the left.

Massie has put up a bill in Congress proposing the end of the Education Dept. Let’s pass that asap.

“If Trump succeeds in these agency purges, and gathers the money strings back under White House control, in one transparent database, then the deep state as we knew it is finished.”

You have no idea how I have prayed for this every day. What I see happening every day is nothing short of a miracle.

Next miracle? the total death of the democrat party’s influence in our country.

WELCOME to the revolution!
