How Tommy Robinson won over Trump’s inner circle
The Telegraph ^ | 11 January 2025 | Eleanor Steafel. Tom Teodorczuk

If you were to ask Elon Musk or President-elect Donald Trump for their thoughts on Luton, you’d imagine both would likely stare at you with blank faces. Actually, it might register slightly more with Musk. His private jet once touched down at Luton Airport. In the past few days, though, the name of Luton’s most infamous export – who once won an apprenticeship to that very airport, in fact – has been on the lips of some of the incoming president’s closest advisers and supporters.

In the 20 years since Tommy Robinson’s first prison stint (for assaulting an off-duty police officer) put paid to a career in aircraft engineering, he has gone from a football hooligan to becoming a lightning rod for Islamophobia and a figurehead for the far-Right in Britain. Over the years, his notoriety in this country has waxed and waned, usually depending on whether he was addressing his followers from behind bars or out on the streets. But until this week, Robinson’s wasn’t a name you would expect most Americans to have ever come across. Nor would you imagine it would be known to both the leader of the free world and the richest man on earth.

Such is the strange, shifting state of the special relationship. It has been a fraught week, with Nigel Farage – who many would argue constitutes Britain’s best hope of a productive dialogue with the United States during Trump’s second stint in the White House – finding himself roundly dismissed by Musk, the billionaire owner of X, who is positioning himself as the incoming president’s right hand man ahead of Inauguration Day.

The Reform leader and chief orchestrator of Brexit “doesn’t have what it takes”, Musk wrote on X on January 5. “The Reform party needs a new leader.” His misdemeanour?

Trump should downgrade America’s “special relationship” with the UK

Its woke, weak, declining, globalist-controlled sh**hole with a marxist labour apparatchik as PM

If the US should attempt “color revolution” anywhere, it should be the UK - to overthrow corrupt the lib-lab-con uniparty.

To put it simply, Tommy Robinson’s movement is the last best hope for the UK. Everything else either delays the collapse, or accelerates it.

So I wouldn’t be a bit surprised if Robinson gets the Epstein treatment while in prison. Can’t have guys like Robinson interfering with the natural progression of things.

Rule Britannia! Until the Muslims decide otherwise, of course.

I don't know what this ‘special relationship’’ bs is all about. We've had to throw these imperialistic idiots out of here twice.

The Brits are a bloody nuisance.

What?! You want the muslims to rule England? That’s the natural progression of things. Why? Because the atheist marxists have no real defense against the muslims. If it comes to that they are the losers and the UK muslims are winners. This is not hard to understand. The atheist marxist of england under starmer have allowed the rape gangs of England to flourish for decades.

As current events go unchanged —then the future of England is Islam. If that happens—expect the future of Jews in America to become increasingly sketchy.

The Brits manipulated us into intervening on their behalf in WWI.

Okay. The Brits were useful during the Cold War especially when Margaret Thatcher was the PM.

But the Cold War is over.

Now they're back to what they were like 100 years ago.

George Washington warned us to be wary of Europe for a good reason.

American Presidents after Washington did not take his advice.

Tommy Robinson is the best hope to lead England’s Reform Party, he has a spine unlike Farage, and will speak about the that which cannot be spoken “Mooslims.”

Elon Musk was able to read Farage relatively quickly.

Nope he's not the guy.

Farage would rather drink his tea and appear "proper".

True indeed. The case could be made they manipulated us into WW2.

When told off the Pearl Harbor attack Churchill said “I slept the sleep of the thankful and the saved’’.

Not much we could have done to stop WWII from happening because we were the ones who had to intervene in WWI.

So we ended up cleaning up the mess we've made in WWI.

We fought two world wars with the Brits. A good ally but that was before they went insane.

“The Brits are a bloody nuisance.”

The only “special relationship” was between Roosevelt and Churchill. Not only did we have to throw them out, they were still unfriendly to us throughout the 1800s. They played footsie with the Republic of Texas to forestall annexation, messed around with the Oregon country and sniffing around California, and again played footsie with the CSA. Only desperation in WWI & WWII caused them to “befriend” us.

All true. There's no end to British perfidious meddling in America's history. I don't think they really understand how defenseless they are without us. In fact all of the UK depends on us and for sheer chutzpa nobody comes close to the Canuks.

This was a hit piece on Tommy Robinson. I’ve been following the man and he is a hero as far as I’m concerned.
