Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani has reached a settlement with two Georgia election workers that he defamed, according to a court filing Thursday.
The settlement follows a Washington, D.C., jury in 2023 awarding the workers – Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss – $146 million for being defamed by Giuliani, who accused them of rigging the 2020 election in Georgia, according to The Hill newspaper.
According to the settlement, Giuliani will be keeping his apartment in New York City and condo in Florida in exchange for compensation of the election workers.
Lawyers for the plaintiffs have been trying to get Giuliani to pay the settlement and have tried to force him to sell personal property and real estate for the cash.
Giuliani has been trying to hold onto the Manhattan property and his $3.5 million Florida condo, which is his primary residence, amid the legal wrangling about whether one or both can be exempt from debt collection efforts.
"I have been able to retain my New York coop and Florida Condominium and all of my personal belongings," he wrote on the social media platform, X. "No one deserves to be subjected to threats, harassment, or intimidation. This litigation has taken its toll on all parties."
Freeman and Moss said: "Today is a major milestone in our journey. We have reached an agreement and we can now move forward with our lives. We have agreed to allow Mr. Giuliani to retain his property in exchange for compensation and his promise not to ever defame us.”

I did see at some point after Rudy’s case that the video of them pulling cases of ballots from under the table after hours and running them through the machine.. some stacks ran through multiple times was finally found to be a real and actual video. Not debunked and fake as said before.
I remember watching that lady presenting the video to the senate committee of Georgia. There was a lady that looked pissed saying that they had seen it and debunked it a month prior. The lady showing it said that’s not possible because they just got the security footage 8 hours earlier. No way they could say it was already debunked. Everything went quiet about it after that.
At one point Ruby and her daughter was going to plead guilty to something but suddenly pulled it back and was found innocent and Biden gave them the medal of freedom. Sues Rudy and wins.
I can’t believe he is paying them anything. I guess it’s easier to pay it out since a counter suit would get him nothing. The now true video shows them illegally counting votes and running some ballots through more than once.

I have never understood what happened. Was the verdict appealed? Was it not appealed because Rudy couldn’t post the appeal bond? Was it appealed and the verdict affirmed?

No, it’s not tax-free. Only judgments for physical injury are tax-free. My bet is they won’t report it correctly, if at all. Then they may finally get some justice.
If these two have dropped their case..... It is because they are afraid of Trumps DOJ blowing it wide open. And sending these election thieves to prison.
