CA Rep Maxine Waters takes umbrage with criticism of Democrats' handling of LA Wildfires:
Maxine Waters: "nstead of talking about Democrats and Republicans. Get the information up on the screens." Chris Cuomo: "However, it can also be seen that you don't want to talk about the politics because it's on your party, because the mayor and the governor are Democrats who arguably should have had the people in Altadena better prepared for this. They should have the resources more available.
So they don't need me to put them up because this state has been doing the work and that they've been preparing the situations for wildfires like they were made aware of. Instead of cutting deals with PG and E and insurance companies, they would have prepared the state. That is not unfair criticism. Is it too soon? Maybe. But the questions are real."
Waters: "Let me tell you something. I'm not in the business of protecting anybody.
We should be willing to get the richest people in this country, the richest 1% that is protected, make sure they pay their fair taxes so that we can have the money to provide the services."
Maxine Waters saying the 'Quiet Part Out Loud' on behalf of the Democrat party: They only care about the richest 1%.
Maxine is part of the 1% who doesn’t pay her fair share. She is mad since people actually see what they are paying for.
Maxine’s business is running her racist mouth.
She’s right. She can’t help anyone.
This is one of the limits of government. When troubles get real, government can’t touch it. And we need to stop expecting government to do everything for us.
I’d like to know an accounting of what all the people in Pacific Palisades paid in taxes in the last 10 years it will be shockingly high. They deserve better.
Marx ine WORDS.
Pretty hard to have sympathy when fools like this are routinely re-elected.
The functional fire department with the materials needed is not a proper expectation from taxpayers?
THIS IS THE KIND OF PEOPLE L A HAS ELECTED OVER & OVER AGAIN FOR YEARS & YEARS & YEARS
When the WATTS riots happened-—WATERS DEMANDED $1,000 for each resident before she would help stop the mayhem.
Bulimics should love it!🤮
She is not for the people. She is for herself. The prehistoric orangutang needs to be removed from office before she kills everyone regardless of color.
Mad Max has never moved back into his district, either
Waters is stuck on stupid.
Here’s a map to track the fires today for those doing so:

There’s also a useful app — Watch Duty — that’s been great for minute-to-minute mobile phone updates. They’ve added a million users+ since this started.
Maxmouth Waters exemplifies all that is wrong with Congre$$ these days.
She got her job through affirmative action. She is thoroughly incompetent and should shut up.
Watch Duty app is excellent shows evac order status all around LA.
“This is one of the limits of government. When troubles get real, government can’t touch it. And we need to stop expecting government to do everything for us.”
Absolutely correct! And a basic principle of our Constitutional Republic.
However, millions and millions of DemocRat voters have been told, since FDR, that the government does protect, comfort, and save them. This is an amazing statement by Maxine that dumps the ‘Rat Party on its head.
(I’m not forgetting the Republicans who talk about “safety nets,” but the major premise of the ‘Rat Party is to “protect” people.
It depends on how long someone has lived in their home. Somebody that recently bought a $2M crap shack with a view might be paying $20K in property taxes. The next door neighbor that has lived there for 30 years in similar house may only have a $2K tax bill.
I have to disagree with you there.
There are certain things we DO expect the government to protect us from. At the local and state level, where we pay our taxes to fund police and fire departments, we fully expect our tax dollars that are taken from us at the point of a gun to be spent in such a way that it minimizes the threat of being murdered or burnt to death in a fire.
At the federal level, we expect the government to use the monies we are forced to give them to keep us from being invaded as just one protection. Other constitutionally protected functions are (or should be) our freedom of speech, our right to bear arms, those kinds of things.
I do agree we need to depend on government less and be more self-sufficient, which is a no-brainer given the level that government bloating has progressed to today.
But we, as conservatives, are not anti-government. We are (or should be) anti-bloated government.
However, government at all levels from local to federal is failing, and failing badly. They aren’t protecting us from invasion, and certainly aren’t protecting things like our 1st and 2nd Amendment rights, as they are actively trying to erode them.
We not only shouldn’t have to depend on government, we shouldn’t have to fight them for our natural rights given to us by God.
