Labour votes down Tory demand for new national inquiry into grooming gangs as Keir Starmer leaves himself open to fresh attacks by Elon Musk

Labour MPs tonight voted down a Tory demand for a new national inquiry into grooming gangs.

It was voted down by 364 votes to 111.

The House of Commons opposed a call, fronted by Conservative leader Kemi Badenoch, for a fresh probe into historical child sexual exploitation.

Chris Philp MP, Shadow Home Secretary, hit out at Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer calling and accused the premier of using 'his supermajority in Parliament to block a national inquiry into the rape gangs scandal'.

It came amid a furious political row over the issue, which has seen pressure piled on Sir Keir by opposition MPs and billionaire Elon Musk.

The PM has endured a barrage of attacks from the tech mogul after it was revealed the Government declined a request for a nationally led inquiry in Oldham.

The controversial businessman has used a slew of social media posts to fuel demands for a new national inquiry.

This evening's Commons vote was held on a Tory amendment to Labour's Children's Wellbeing and Schools Bill.

It called on the Government to establish a 'national statutory inquiry into historical child sexual exploitation, focused on grooming gangs'.

But, due to Labour's massive Commons majority, the amendment was defeated.

Mr Philp said the Tories would not let Labour forget what he called an 'act of cowardice'.

'Labour MPs have put their Party ahead of getting to the truth and turned a blind eye to justice for the victims,' he said.

'Labour MPs will have to explain to the British people why they are against learning the truth behind the torture and rape of countless vulnerable girls.'

Been happening since the Tories ditched Enoch Powell.

The useless Tories absolutely bear the same amount of blame. It is why they lost in the landslide because their own voters learn to hate and despise them for the useless liars that they are.

The real problem with the UK is that all the political parties are staffed by the same reptiles from the same families and the same universities and schools. One tribe rules the UK regardless of whatever political party is in power.

The working class of Britain should rise up and kill every aristocrat and royal that they can get their hands on.

Not one Labour MP voted for the amendment.
Labour will be crushed next election, but how much damage will they inflict during the next five years?

We’ve never been in doubt as to who the groomers and their supporters are.

Been happening since Britain was neutered in WW2 by losing 2 generations of testosterone men to raise their children, so here are those kids raised by the “village” (per Hillary) and single women taking charge.

There has already been a full national enquiry, the Jay Enquiry which reported in 2022. Another enquiry would take years and simply kick the ball further into the long grass. The pertinent question is not a new enquiry (which has quite properly been rejected for that reason), but how much has been done to implement the 20 recommendations of Jay.

So just bury your heads in the sand and pretend there’s no problems, right UK? Wouldn’t want to make any people of color feel uncomfortable, now would you?

Britain needed “Brexit” in 1914.

The elephant in the room is which ‘people of color’ would be made to feel uncomfortable. The Brit establishment prefers to refer to them as ‘Asians’. But they’re not any old Asians, but a particular group of Asians—Pakistanis.

Interesting the difference in behavior between Pakistanis and say Indians. The come from the same place, share most of the same culture, except for one important bit. Can’t quite put my finger on what that bit might be.
