State Rep. Anna Eskamani, a former Planned Parenthood staffer and abortion activist-turned politician, has announced that she will be running for mayor of Orlando, Florida.
Eskamani previously worked as the Senior Director of Public Affairs and Communications for Planned Parenthood of Southwest and Central Florida, and was a keynote speaker at the 2017 Women’s March in Orlando, where she boasted of her work with Planned Parenthood and her support for abortion.
Eskamani has served in the Florida House of Representatives since 2018, and can no longer seek re-election after winning a fourth and final term last month.
She said she was encouraged to run for a statewide office, but wanted to focus on her hometown of Orlando instead.
“In 2027, Orlando faces a pivotal moment,” she told Orlando Weekly. “And with so much uncertainty at the national level, we need a people-centered leader with the courage to challenge the status quo and the vision to deliver bold, creative solutions to address our community’s everyday challenges — from homelessness and public safety to small business support and affordability. These issues are complex, but through grit, grace, and a relentless work ethic, I know I am the leader Orlando needs to move us forward into the future.”
Eskamani further added that her goal was to add a “people-centered approach” to politics. During her time in the Florida House, she was an ardent supporter of abortion.
She fought against a bill that would protect pain-capable preborn children from abortion, and attempted to overturn pro-life laws in Florida — like a 24-hour waiting period, limits on taxpayer funding for abortion organizations, and laws allowing patient records to be reviewed during abortion facility inspections.
Additionally, she was involved in the failed campaign to make abortion a constitutional right in Florida. Throughout her political career, she has made it clear that supporting the abortion industry is still a priority for her.
“More and more attacks are coming our way and it’s important that we don’t just surrender,” she has previously said. “Winning is not measured by passing a bill. It’s measured by how hard we fight.”
We all do.
A rather extensive wiklipedia page for someone I never heard of (but I’m a long way from Florida.).
However, she is an 0bama endorsed daughter of Iranian immigrants, so that should tell Orlando Voters much all they need to know.
An Iranian abortionist... Mayor of Disneyworld.
Eskamani has a good shot at getting elected Mayor of Orlando unless the local business community and big money donors find and fund a better candidate and build an effective new political organization. The odds are against that because, with the Left's capture of the Democratic Party, moderate Democrats no longer have a political vehicle to convert money and business influence into favorable election outcomes.
Why are so many of these politicians and wannabe politicians from other countries or first generation? Is she natural born? Is her loyalty to this country or to power?
Let her go fight for abortion rights in Iran, I’d love to see that! The morality police would get her! Dawg I’d move to Iran and join the morality police just to go after her.
This leech should not be allowed anywhere near public office.
actually... and still stricter than the democRATS
Abortion is currently legal in cases where the mother’s life is in danger, and also in cases of fetal abnormalities that makes it not viable after birth (such as anencephaly) or produce difficulties for the mother to take care of it after birth, such as major thalassemia or bilateral polycystic kidney disease.

I’ve posted about abortion in Iran. In farsi I’m called a “nafas”, that is how they say “pro life” over there.

Why Orlando? Of all the places to want to “help”. Too many kids at the amusement parks? Too many families on vacation? I don’t think she is in touch with the vibe of the place.
She’s likely to get a bunch of Disney Dollars to try to get her elected.
Let us pray that doesn’t happen, somehow
Please Lord, turn the hearts of Orlando voters to righteousness and life, not death
Maybe for the prayer ping list?
Eskamani may not even get the “Iranian-American” vote...
I think I messed up my ping
Florida does. But Orlando doesn’t and will elect her if she wins the primary.
