Among those convicted on Friday was the father of a student whose false account of Paty's use of the caricatures triggered a wave of social media posts targeting the middle-school teacher.

The court sentenced Brahim Chnina to 13 years in prison for criminal terrorist association, according to broadcaster Franceinfo.

Chnina had published videos falsely accusing the teacher of disciplining his daughter for complaining about the class, naming Paty and identifying his school.

Last year, a court found Chnina's daughter and five other adolescents guilty of participating in a premeditated conspiracy and helping prepare an ambush.

Chnina's daughter, who was not in Paty's class when the caricatures were shown, was convicted of making false accusations and slanderous comments.

French media reported that the 13-year-old made the allegations after her parents questioned why she had been suspended from school for two days.

I wonder what USA-France has to say about this. I’m sure he’ll tell us that it was a Catholic that did the killings.

... sentenced Brahim Chnina to 13 years in prison.

13 years? Are you kidding me? Brahim should have received the death sentence. These ridiculously light sentences for 1st degree murder will only encourage France's Muslims to more violence and murder. When governments and courts stop dispensing justice for these types of heinous crimes, don't be surprised to see people resort to vigilante justice. A government that doesn't treat Islam as the terrorist religion it is - need to be replaced with one's that do. Otherwise, Islam will slowly dominate that government and people.

He who doesn't learn from history is bound to repeat it.

The transformation of the Middle East from a predominantly Christian region to one where Islam is the majority religion has occurred in several nations, similar to Lebanon.

1. Syria was once home to a vibrant Christian community, particularly in cities like Aleppo and Damascus. The civil war that began in 2011 has led to mass emigration of Christians due to violence and persecution, significantly reducing their numbers.

2. Egypt has a long history of Christianity dating back to the early centuries AD with the Coptic Church being one of the oldest Christian communities. However, over the centuries, particularly after the Islamic conquests and through various periods of political turmoil, the Christian population has dwindled due to emigration and sectarian violence.

3. Iraq had a substantial Christian population before the U.S.-led invasion in 2003 and subsequent sectarian violence. The rise of ISIS further exacerbated this decline as many Christians were forced to flee or convert under threat of violence.

4. Turkey Once part of the Byzantine Empire with a significant Christian population, Turkey saw a drastic decline in its Christians following events such as the Armenian Genocide during World War I and subsequent national policies that marginalized non-Muslim communities.

5. Palestine (West Bank and Gaza) The Palestinian territories have seen a decrease in their Christian populations due to political instability, economic challenges, and emigration driven by conflict with Israel as well as internal pressures.

6. Jordan While Jordan is relatively more tolerant compared to some neighboring countries, it still has seen a decline in its Christian population due to regional conflicts prompting migration toward Western countries for better opportunities.

7. Lebanon Although Lebanon has historically been known for its diverse religious makeup including significant Christian communities, recent years have seen an outflow of Christians largely due to economic instability and political strife exacerbated by regional conflicts.

Gee, who could have predicted that once Muslims settled in France - with the full complicity of the government - they’d keep their 3rd world, murderous Muslims ways and traditions?

This was 100% preventable - and the French had better do something “toot sweet” otherwise their entire country will soon be majority Muslim and they’ll be subjected to Sharia Law.

guillotine.

Spelling? Donno. The only civilized response to deliberate murder is the death penalty.

Put them down.

Charles Martel would (correctly)forcefully drive Muslims from France and Europe.
