Republican in close N.C. Supreme Court race asks that court to throw out 60,000 ballots

The Republican candidate narrowly trailing in the North Carolina Supreme Court race has asked that same court to throw out 60,000 ballots from last month's election.

The move from Jefferson Griffin, an appeals court judge, to the state Supreme Court comes a week after losing a challenge before the North Carolina State Board of Elections in which he had also sought to toss those ballots. Griffin currently trails Democratic Justice Allison Riggs by just 734 votes.

“In the 2024 general election, the Board’s errors changed the outcome of the election for the open seat on this Court,” Griffin’s attorneys wrote. “When those errors were raised again in valid election protests, the Board then claimed that it was too late to fix its law-breaking.”

So, lawbreaking is acknowledged on the part of Democrats, but it's "too late to fix."

Doesn't matter, Democrats just ignore these election laws. There are already laws on the books specifying how ballots are to be cast and counted, but the Democrat-controlled board ignored them.

You are right. Your list is good.

But “CLEAN election rolls” is not a simple matter of “cleaning up” existing rolls. They are way too polluted from decades of scheming and nefarious activity. Trying to clean up those hopelessly corrupted rolls is a fool’s errand.

The only real solution is to cancel all voter registration rolls every four years after the federal quadrennial election. Then everybody must appear before the registrar, in person, with valid photo ID to re-register. Your registration will be valid for all local, state, and federal elections for four years.

In our Republic, there fundamentally exists a two-part covenant between a legitimate government and the citizenry:

1. The elections that elect those we agree to be governed by must be free and fair.
   
   
2. Those who govern must live by the same laws as those they govern.

In my eyes, it is that simple.

And both components of that covenant have been broken. We no longer have a legitimate government.

This was a race in which they kept counting and counting and counting and counting and Voila! Like magic a lead for the Republican suddenly became a narrow win for the Democrat. The Democrat dominated election board said it was all hunky dory.

The State Supreme Court should throw out these illegal ballots and prevent the Democrats from stealing this race which they are obviously trying to do.
