Pure lunacy.
Yes, everyone will be poorer now, but in the future, we will all live like those movies from our own Hollywood. Just trust us, and that hyper-train from SF to LA will be our shining star. And don’t forget the economic rocket that comes from all of our migrants…..
1 year without money laundering will push Cali into full on bankruptcy.
💯.
Enjoy the suck, Californikators!
Atlas Shrugged in living color.
The best way to punish liberals is to let them do as they will.
Well said. And not a cent in aid should go to them.
Continue to transport as much “stuff” as possible but no food.
Unreliable towing and and insane regulations prevent it.
The truckers can tell them the truth, cheap plastic crap does not spoil if left in the truck for a week.
.
I watch a tv show called “HIGHWAY FROM HELL” filmed in CANADA.
IT is about wrecks on the roads & the towing companies that clean up everything.
The wreckers shown on that show & the AMAZING work that they do-—WILL NEVER BE REPLACED BY EV VEHICLES, IMO.
Some of those trucks & trailers & loads weigh over 80,000 #.
“By the end of the 2024 model year, 5 to 9 percent of sales in California must be ZEVs”.
And when they are not?
Seriously, how will they enforce this tripe?
2024 end of model year is LESS than one year away.
Exactly.
Syrict emission standards are acceptable in the Los Angeles valley.
Why saddle the entire state with this “rule”?
When is the ICC going to get involved? This all directly affects interstate commerce big time. Ca laws should not impact interstate commerce and create regulatory burdens, hardships, and costs for other citizens and businesses in other states. They already slipped by with unconstitutional regulations that almost destroyed the trucking industry once. Ca regulations should not have any jurisdiction over out of state trucks coming into Ca at all.
Just like before it will start as regulating trucks in ca, then it will move to regulating all trucks coming into Ca also. This is when it violates interstate commerce.
So-called ‘green’ hydrogen is not just a joke, it’s a gigantic preposterous cluster-farce. The present source of industrial hydrogen is natural gas, and the hydrogen produces far less energy than the gas that makes it. Much of the wasted energy in this process is turned into the hated carbon dioxide - more of it than would have been produced than if the gas used to produce it had been used to propel the trucks in the first place.
Proponents dream that ‘green’ hydrogen will be produced by electrolyzing water. For that to happen, the power will have to come from wind or solar cells. That means there must be massive over-building of wind and solar generating. Enough is needed to supply ALL electricity on hot or cold days for domestic use, car charging, heating, and cooling, but also enough also to charge batteries in the summer to last over the winter. After all that, there must be enough left over to make green hydrogen - massive amounts of it.
These massive amounts must be stored somewhere, and transported to where it’s used. It can’t be transported via existing pipelines since it destroys the steel in them by hydrogen embrittlement. It’s also the smallest molecule in the universe. That means it leaks out the tiniest of gaps in any container, particularly at high pressures. It just leaks away. And then after it leaks away, it gets transformed in the atmosphere into a....particle that - guess what - warms the earth.
“Hey! My Tesla is broken down, could you send a tow truck?”
“Sure pal, they will be right there as soon as they manage to make one that complies with the regulations you voted for.”
The new rules coming are only going to make it worse. If this keeps going, we may as well scratch Calif. off the list of states & sell it to China on the condition they move it back to their mainland.
Tesla's are not for everyone but they are selling very well
Check this out. The semis are selling well too
Spot the electric tow truck
