WASHINGTON, Dec 18 (Reuters) - The U.S. House Ethics Committee has voted to release its report on former Republican Representative Matt Gaetz, CNN reported on Wednesday, saying the panel's findings could be made public within days as Congress prepares to adjourn for the holidays.
The committee's probe centered on allegations against Gaetz of sexual misconduct with a teenage girl and drug use. Gaetz resigned from Congress in November after Donald Trump tapped him to be his attorney general, a bid the former lawmaker later dropped.
The Ethics panel met earlier this month and voted secretly to release the report, CNN reported, citing multiple unnamed sources familiar with the matter. Earlier this month, the Republican-majority House of Representatives blocked an effort to expedite the report's release after the panel deadlocked over whether to make it public.
Gaetz, who has denied all wrongdoing, could not immediately be reached for comment, nor could the Ethics panel.

Ping
I have no problem with that as long as they release the swallwell ethics report.
Is there actually a Swalwell ethics report?
So every Republican on the committee needs to lose their seat unless they out the rat.
LOL
Since Gaetz is now a private citizen, they may wind up getting sued for some huge $$$.................
Secret votes……cowards. NO MORE SECRET VOTES !
One does not simply accuse Israel of being involved with Jeffrey Epstein and NOT have their reputation destroyed by the deepstate.
Gaetz brought a lot of this heat onto himself because he’s a bit of a creep and a narcissist. He has no one else to blame.
Can’t Johnson stop it from being teleased?
Its been proven 16 ways to the wind that Matt Gaetz had nothing to do with that teenage girl. 🙄
Well who did he introduce to Tucker Carlson and Tucker’s wife?
And in a somewhat ironic twist, the House’s continuing resolution includes wording that would allow Congress to defy — or “quash” — any subpoena demanding release of their electronic communications — i.e., emails, texts and cellphone calls.
Surely it will be fair and balanced.
This is wrong. But if Gaetz wants a future in politics, whatever is in the report will likely have to come out at some point. If it exonerates him then great. If it’s a mixed bag, he can hopefully deal with it now and move forward with his career.
does it include the Epstein Files??
I assume they will also release all records relating to the secret slush fund Congress has to pay sexual abuse claims against Congressmen???
That is crazy. Except for rare instances of national security, government should be conducted in the sunshine.
YEP!!!
