I bet anything the trans woman gets challenged by a judge and she flips out.
Alito (?) spanking trans judge for making sweeping judgment saying “overwhelming evidence” of gender affirming surgery and pulls out a Swedish study that says there are more concerns than benefits.
Now discussing Britain’s step back from “gender care”.
Gov lawyer working off studies
Opposition (Tennessee lawyer) working off laws
“Gender-affirming care”. Ha! The only real
gender-affirming care is an adult telling a little boy “You were born a male. You’re staying a male.”
There.
Done.
Didn’t mutilate anyone or cost a penny.
I hate the way the media always seizes on and uses the other side’s biased terminology - “gender AFFIRMING”. How would public perceptions go if it was instead called “gender ALTERING” or better yet, “reproductive MUTILATION”?
“I hate the way the media always seizes on and uses the other side’s biased terminology”
It’s not the other side, they’re on the same side. If anything it’s the propaganda organs that engineer these purposefully obfuscating and seemingly innocuous terms to bamboozle the useful idiots.
They have what they call “style sheets” that specify what terms must be used in their stories.
What’s really sad and maddening is that our side starts using them too!
They like to play the euphemism game with the term 'abortion' as well by calling it "reproductive healthcare". Just call it what it is: abortion. They can never explain why they are so afraid to accurately describe something that they support wholeheartedly.
Exactly.
No one even addressing the real issue here. What about the right of the state to take your 5 year old child out of your home and chop off their genitals? Parents are actually loosing custody of their children because they won’t transition their 5 or 6 year old child, that is the real issue.
WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Supreme Court of the United States is bringing its many decades of collective legal experience to bear as it carefully considers whether a guy slicing body parts off of children with a giant knife is bad.
Legal scholars have submitted thousands of pages of amicus briefs for review as justices wrestle with the nuances of the morality of drugging children and sterilizing them.
“Should you take a three-year-old, drug him, lay him down on a table, and use a sharp knife to cut off his body parts? Hmm, that’s a toughie,” said Justice Sotomayor. “Really a mind twister, this one. Cutting off children’s genitals for cash... a lot of complex ethical issues to unpack here.”
The Supreme Court will hear testimony from children who had body parts cut off and later grew up and wish they still had their body parts. “So, you’re saying that’s bad?” asked Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson. “I’m having a hard time understanding this. You’re saying when you were seven years old, you weren’t old enough to be violently sterilized? I am thoroughly confused.”
What’s “affirming” about denying one’s birth gender?
