I wonder where the Houthis got the targeting data, this time?
Gotta beware of those crazy-eyed Filipinas, too...
I wouldn’t mess with the Turks - they don’t Western sensibilities. They’re quite like to land a squad of tough guys and cut off a few heads.
Were Turks attacked for being Sunni?
Say what you will. But shooting at things owned by Turkey can have consequences.
Do the Houthis still get that data from a ship? Someone said if so why hasn’t that ship been sunk.
Cost of many items is higher due to the shipping concerns re-routing the cargo shipments far away to avoid the combat zones.
As of last year:” More than 100 container ships have been rerouted around southern Africa to avoid the Suez canal.”
The Houthis likely thought the ship was somehow connected to Israel. They’ve been pretty trigger happy in the past.
Several strategically placed tactical nukes and problem solved.
The Houthis were getting at least some targeting data from Russia. At present, I do not know.
There’s a good chance the guy, Sal, who posts as “What’s Going On With Shipping” on You Tube will have a report, but, while it’s great that he’s excellent at running down details and sources, that takes a lot of time, and he has a lot to report on, so, such reports sometimes take a few or even several days to get posted.
Those crazy Turks have been very sympathetic to the Gaza residents. I wonder what they have to say about current events.
Smart move...piss off the Turks.
The location of every merchant ship is available in real time online.

In Korean War, Chicoms scared to death of them. Tough as they come and “different” ROE’s!😎
A shame during hostilities. Guess it saves the Biden-Harris Administration from the work of adding that to the updates on the secret troop movements and locations of IDF forces and locations of Israeli missiles. Arabs and Iranians have less data to process.
Such as:
Leaked documents show US intelligence on Israel’s plans to attack Iran, sources say.

Good thing we have a first class, aggressive navy and a brilliant, no nonsense Commander In Chief....oh wait.
Incidentally, I should add to the 2nd part of your comment that IF Europe gets a long, cold winter, LPG supply could become a big problem. Coming up through the Red Sea / Suez Canal to Europe is a much quicker voyage than going around South Africa. Essentially, if the average trip is 3x longer, it takes 3x the number of LNG ships to deliver the same amount of gas. Unless there is a huge surplus of ships (there is not), the supply side of “supply and demand” could fall far short. Given that the gas still flowing from Russia through Ukraine to Europe is getting shut off, the problem is obvious, and while worst in Europe, it creates havoc almost everywhere gas is imported.
Good points.
Also, all the ships using fuel to travel all that way must make climate change worse. /S
Someone should inform Greta and Al Gore.
Despite Erdogan's rhetoric, Turkey has been a key supplier to Israel since Oct 7th. Allah Ansar may be calling them out on their double dealing.
We used to repeat you can’t put lipstick on a pig and change it but now some of the military leaders actually wear lipstick.
Dear Turkey boss,
you support terrorist gangsters,
you get terrorist gangsters.
