Oklahoma governor says he wants to deport undocumented immigrants in state prisons

Gov. Kevin Stitt says Oklahoma will have a plan to deport undocumented immigrants in the custody of state prisons as soon as President-elect Donald Trump takes office.

“As law and order returns to the White House, Oklahoma will lead the charge with a comprehensive plan to deport those who have committed crimes in Oklahoma while in the country illegally," Stitt said in the announcement.

Good idea. Look at those convicted of less serious crimes and those who are close to their release date. Stipulate that if they're released early they're put on lifetime probation and if they reenter the US illegally they're subject to immediate imprisonment.

I’m the guy who thinks anyone who says there ought to be a law is part of the problem.
I also believe that the exception proves the rule.
Pass this law, and have them sign a paper that states if they ever come back here, they immediately get the death penalty.

We can and will do a lot better at border security.

However the worst and most insane thing we can do is to give illegal aliens a get out of jail free card just because of their illegal status.

They did the crime now they can do the time, then we deport the scum back where they came.

Everyone should remember this used to be SOP just a decade or two ago.

If the sentence was for something serious they had to serve the term but would be deported on completion.

For less serious issues, release and deportation was considered “humanitarian” since they would supposedly be out of the country and not try to come back.

We’re just going back to enforcement that was routine up to the early ‘90s.

Trump needs to start his deportations in conservative states. There will be lawsuits filed by ACLU, etc. Those suits need to be heard by conservative judges to set precedents.
