Have at it, boys. Just make sure the DOE is on the list.

Delete as many as possible, reduce as many of the rest as you can, then move the remainder out of DC.

Have at it, boys. Just make sure the DOE is on the list. And the 87,000 new IRS agents.

Or for the time being, at least give the IRS the Bill Barr treatment on that plane in the photo?

Good question as to what Trump can do with an executive order , versus what requires an act of Congress ?

That’s my question.
Executive orders?

“ then move the remainder out of DC.”
That would ruin whatever town those agencies were moved to.

there are things that can be done by the executive ie not filling vacancies and the policy direction of the dept
but to delete it would require congressional action
its all good

I can’t recall that DHS and TSA were created by statute of Congress at all. IIRC, it was edict by Bush.

Bartiromo says, “Departments, like Education”
Ramaswamy replies with “\Agencies\ deleted”.
Always understand what they are saying.
Department of Education may be gutted by the deletion of a majority of its agencies.
DOGE is not tasked with eliminating Departments, just making them more efficient.
If they become internally non-operational then Trump can delete them.

All agencies created in the late ‘60s and ‘70s mainly to placate rioting hippies should be the first to go. I know the Democrats don’t realize it, but this isn’t 1974 anymore.
