The key will be to make it very painful for companies to employ illegals. They need to make an example out of few shady employers. Once the off-book jobs disappear, so do the illegals.

It likely will be the same with Holman except that they must defeat the cartels who will fight the deportation.They may have to have military help for that.
We used to talk about self deportation, it is a real thing.
By enforcing hiring laws and housing laws, jailing some employers, and removing welfare and assistance and making it clear that anyone illegal is shut out of the system and could be deported at any time when caught, and all of that wall of rejection being reinforced by the publicity and video and news stories of these actual deportations, many, many illegals will leave on their own, for one thing they will want be able to dispose of their assets like trucks and cars, and even property and houses rather than simply lose them when hauled off by agents.
We don’t literally have to put hands on each individual illegal, a highly visual theatrical national crack down will drive away millions, by them simply exiting on their own.

Start with denying illegals with any benefits. It’d be a start to self deporting. Will Mexico now allow them to cross into Mexico like they let them cross into the US from there?
