“Cmon Josh - You’re better than that’

No, he really isn’t.
Watch him in the hearings, he the camera before he starts. See Rick Scott just talk like a person.

Hawley is not MAGA. He’s for himself and his own power.
Very disappointing indeed.

“I think President Trump’s time has passed him by and what’s the most important thing to me is we have a candidate who can actually win.”

Cornyn

He tirelessly raised millions of dollars for competitive Senate races, including mine.

Great. Then he should be head of the Campaign Committee, not Majority Leader.

I’m in Texas. Cornyn is my senator.

Based on his record I’d be inclined, if necessary, to vote Democrat for a term just to get rid of Cornyn. He’s been that bad. (He’s in the middle of his six-year term, up for reelection in 2026.)

He needs to be primaried out. He certainly does not belong in the majority leader seat.

J D Vance is the only name that should be considered.

Cornyn is a RINOcrat. The only time he puts on his conservative suit is during his reelection campaigns in Texas.

I have never understood how the outgoing Senate gets to pick the leaders for the incoming senate. Totally wrong in my book.

“I’m sucking up to John Cornyn for majority leader,” Hawley said in a statement. “I mean ,just in case.”

Josh may have unintentionally destroyed his career with this ill-advised move.

Most in TX though are unaware of Cornyn’s RINOism.

They get it. They just doesn’t care.

They know the state and federal machine will protect them in they’re in line with the machine.

They’re confident voters won’t buck too much.

And they can always fall back to old reliable…If you don’t for us, the Democrat will win.

Anything and everything going on DC is because of complacency with voters.

Tea Party groups in Texas worked hard to defeat Cornyn in the 2014 primary by supporting a good challenger, Steve Stockman. We got Cornyn’s vote down to 59% in the primary, which is low for an long-term incumbent.

He easily won reelection in 2020.

Cornyn is strongly supported by the lobbyists and special interests making it hard to get rid of him.

He was drowned out by boos at the 2022 Texas Republican Convention for his support for gun reform.

I met Cornyn at the Texas Republican Convention in 2002 when he won his first primary. I didn’t like him then and have not liked him since that time. He is a classic RINO.

Cornyn and Thune remind me of Paul Ryan. Trump should come out in support of Rick Scott. McConnell is an ass and I will be glad to read his obituary in the next year or two.

Trump can make it difficult for whomever the Senate Leader is. If it is Scott they will work together. He should go straight to the MAGA movement and tell them which RINO is blocking the agenda they voted for. The Senate will be the last hiding place for the Country Club GOPe RINOS.
