Republican senators will select a new Senate GOP leader next week, and Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., has endorsed Sen. John Cornyn, R-Tx., for the role.

GOP senators will vote via secret ballot on Wednesday, Nov. 13.

"I'm backing John Cornyn for majority leader," Hawley said in a statement. "In the last two years, nobody has done more to win back the majority than he has. He tirelessly raised millions of dollars for competitive Senate races, including mine.

"I thought new Senators got to have a voice in picking a majority leader."

The problem is McConnell isn't waiting until after Republican Senators are seated January 1st. He's holding the election now to screw President Trump. Both McConnell and Schumer were chosen on or after January 1st.

Hawley confessed with his mouth right there that it’s about the money.

Placed himself right next to a particular couple of dumbasses from the same state, who one won’t name...

"Cornyn did not sacrifice 1/100 th of what Trump and his family and a lot of other staunch defenders of our constitution."

You'd think that Hawley would do the right thing seeing as he chose to reject Biden's electors on January 6th. He took aa lot of heat for that, and even had BLM show up on his doorstep when his wife was home alone with their newborn child.

"Apparently, Mitch is having the vote early to keep the new maga senators from having a voice."

The change of date for the vote should itself be put up for a vote to Republican Senators, and not changed on the whim of an old, POS rino.

Senator, you don’t need money. All you need to do is keep your campaign promises and pursue what is actually good for the nation. Do that and you will get reelected. Don’t do that and you are toast. Don’t think the pubbies can get away with betraying the people that sent them there again.

Something about the silk underwear in the Senate. Makes men soft.

I thought Hawley smarter than to be enthusiastic about Cornyn. It’s one thing to support him as the best among bad options, but quite another to do so with enthusiasm before the people who put him in office to end the RINO regime.

I pray the voters in Missouri let him know that Cornyn is totally unacceptable. I really lost confidence in Hawley with this. I saw him as good future VP material until this.

How much money did he raise for Kari Lake? How much for Ted Cruz?

What a tool… and so is Harley if he means this. Cornholio is the poster boy for RINO establishment politics. He shouldn’t even be dogcatcher.

JD Vance is still a sitting US Senator. He has not resigned his seat yet. He was in DC yesterday partly to treat his son’s Cub Scout troop to a tour of the Capitol and partly to check in at his Senate office. As a sitting Senator, he will be able to participate in the leadership votes, and he certainly will make the President-elect’s views known. I suspect if they can’t get Rick Scott, then they would prefer Cornyn over Thune. Thune has always been a Never-Trumper.

Glad Hawley showed he’s UniParty. He had a ton of people fooled just like Jim Jordan and Trey Gowdy.

President Trump flushes them out.

It seems it comes down to fundraising and Cornyn has Texas oil money to buy his way into McConnell’s position.

A better government the rich people’s money won’t buy.

Some dirty deal, obviously. What did Cornyn promise Hawley? No to Cornyn. No to Thune. It’s pathetic that someone (McConnell) believes that’s the best we’ve got.

Rick Scott would be better. There are others who would be better than him.
