WASHINGTON (TNND) — An employee with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) told relief workers responding to Category 3 Hurricane Milton in Florida to "avoid homes" with signs in support of now-President-elect Donald Trump, the agency now confirms.
The Daily Wire reports FEMA Supervisor Marn'i Washington informed workers verbally and via a Microsoft Teams chat while they responded to a Lake Placid community.
In a best practices memo, Washington wrote "Avoid homes advertising Trump," the outlet reported. Also in the memo were a few other bullet points telling workers to stay together, practice "de-escalation" and follow the rules.
At least 20 different homes with Trump signs or flags were passed following the storm because of the order, FEMA employees told The Daily Wire.
FEMA's tracking system contained messages like "Trump sign no entry per leader," the employees told the outlet.
Because of the order, residents living in those homes were unable to sign up for federal disaster relief aid.
A FEMA spokesperson confirmed the reports to The New York Post on Friday, noting the agency was "deeply disturbed" by the employee's actions.
“While we believe this is an isolated incident, we have taken measures to remove the employee from their role and are investigating the matter to prevent this from happening ever again,” the spokesperson told the Post.
House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer, R-Ky., claimed on X that the employee had not been fired, writing, "FEMA hasn’t fired this personBut the IRS has been trying to force IRS whistleblower Gary Shapley out for blowing the whistle! We must hold these unelected bureaucrats accountable."
The FEMA spokesperson told The Post that the supervisor is "no longer working in the state of Florida or in any FEMA operations at this moment" amid an ongoing investigation.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis wrote in a post on X, "The blatant weaponization of government by partisan activists in the federal bureaucracy is yet another reason why the Biden-Harris administration is in its final days."
I’d like to know how long the enemedia has been sitting on this story...
For the most part Trump supporters are self sufficient and take care of their own business.
FEMA confirms workers told to 'avoid homes' with Trump signs during hurricane response
Pres Jill DC DEI hires just following the Bidenista Agenda .
Get all Gopers especially whites .
Our storm was almost seven weeks ago. These agencies have been causing political hurt a long time. I remember Obama closing the parks to make people hurt. And of course COVID gave the Republican leaders cover to increase that exponentially.. for our good.
More partican filth in the government agencies!
What's FEMA's relationship to ACM?
Gov Desantis needs to extradite Ms DEI Washington to FL for the crimes she committed.
FEMA now has 23,000 employees.
Disaster recovery, my a$$.
States should be responsible for their own disaster recovery.
Uncle Sam should be there only to provide funding and military assistance if needed.
A county in NYS recently is hitting up FEMA for $50 million.
NYS has a budget of $229 BILLION.
NYS has no biz hitting up federal taxpayers for that amount of money.
This crap has got to STOP.
Avanath Forges Partnership to Build Affordable in Less Time and at Lower Cost

Tenants sue over nightmare conditions at DC apartment building
...Now, several tenants are taking legal action against their property management company, Avanath Capital Management...
Avanath/FEMA...appears to be a revolving door of corruption and incompetence.
Maybe the conspiracy theories who were talking about land grabs were onto something...
Again.
Wow. Everyday I thank God for this victory because without it all Trump supporters would be facing harsh penalties.
I just went down the FEC rabbit hole using Avanath as a search term...
Made for some interesting reading.
After being rushed to the hospital, doctors discovered that he was "85% full of mold."
I’m not sure what that means. How can a person be almost full of mold?
Blame the presstitute if the victim was referring to being treated for systemic mycosis, which is indeed an illness.
Or the presstitute did know what he/she was doing and decided to make the victim look foolish.
I don’t have enough fingers and toes to count the agencies/programs that need to be closed for good, however FEMA makes the top 20 IMHO.
