What the hell has happened to Arstrylia?
“authoritarianism”
Social media is an addictive drug for teens
“Australian Gov’t to Ban Teens Under 16 From Using Social Media - Prime Minister”
Good for them! When I was under 16, I didn’t use ‘Social Media’ and neither did anyone that I know. We all (mostly) survived and very few of us turned into balloons, as is the case today.
Brilliant. They can get their penis cut off without parental consent in AU but can’t go on social media.
Enforcement should be amusing—lol.
This is the state trying to replace parents.
What could possibly go wrong?
Its more f****** up that you can imagine. If you haven’t seen Tucker Carlson’s speech from his tour there, get to it now!
What the hell has happened to Arstrylia?

The day they voluntarily surrendered their guns was the start of what has happened.
You would think that the leftist govenrment there should want kids becoming mentally unbalanced because ,iberalism itself is made up of mentally stunted and unbalanced people
I’m almost surprised that they didn’t demand that kids do social media more often
Good luck with that...ahahahahahahahaha
Yes, there is a danger that individual parents can’t control.
Kids are smart enough to hack their way around parental controls. And yes, one can teach them, but these apps are addictive.
Remove the phones? Yes, but the child is the only one in the class without a smartphone - we’ve done this and gone with the feature phone route, but there will be possible only up to a certain age.
There are a range of ways to mitigate the issue.
I like the idea of schools banning cell-phones inside the schools—I would have no problem is they jammed the cell phone signal inside the school.
But—at the end of the day kids will be kids—and most of us broke a lot of “rules” when we were kids. I and my friends always thought it was a fun challenge to outsmart those mean grown-ups who were always telling us what to do.
I teach one class at a Midwest University (after my day Job). My best students today are African and Caribbean blacks. Why? Because they grow up without phones and read (and listen)
Ya , how would they ban the people smarter than them ,LOL
True, but if you were 15 and wanted to smoke, it was difficult, right? Not at your fingertips and almost expected as with social media today
Australia is a police state.
Our “forbidden thing” as kids were pollywogs.
We would steal a big empty jar, sneak out to the local stream and fill the jar with water and pollywogs, and bring the jar home.
Our mothers went totally ballistic.
Lol.
On the Internet nobody knows you’re a dog (or under 16).
