Goodbye Middle Class: Half Of All American Workers Make Less Than $43,222.81 A Year
The Economic Collapse ^ | November 4, 2024 | Michael

It is that time of the year again. The Social Security Administration has finally released the final wage statistics for 2023, and they are quite sobering. According to the report, last year the “median wage” in this country was just $43,222.81. In other words, half of all American workers made less than $43,222.81, and half of all American workers made more than $43,222.81. That is terrible news, because the cost of living has been rising much faster than paycheck have. More people are being squeezed out of the middle class with each passing day, but most Americans don’t even realize that this is happening because the media isn’t really talking about it. Poverty, homelessness and hunger are all growing all around us, and if we stay on the path that we are on the middle class will continue to be systematically eviscerated.

Once upon a time, the vast majority of the country could afford to live a middle class lifestyle.

But now those days are long gone.

A study that was recently released found that it now takes more than $100,000 a year for a typical U.S. household to live “the American Dream” in all 50 states, and in 29 U.S. states it takes more than $150,000 a year…

Whenever a Republican wins the Presidency, the mainstream media suddenly re-discovers homelessness.

If they elect Harris, they deserve to be banished to poverty.

All thanks to a printed, fiat, centrally/government issued currency. ALWAYS benefits the issuers, and their cronies, at the expense of everyone else.

Its nothing new. This phenomenon has been known for 300+ years, before even Adam Smith.

I don’t see how if Sloe Biden is too frail to continue into a second term
he is out doing anything without a butterfly net and nurse to ensure he doesn’t just wander off, never to be seen again.

IMO This is a global phenomenon. Obama told us we shouldn’t be selfish “We can’t drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times … and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK.”
According to him, We need to lower our standards of living for equity with the world. There’s a concentration of poverty in certain sectors and too much wealth in others. You cannot make things level by just spreading the wealth. You need to spread the poverty to thin out the wealth to a sustainable level.
The US is a wealthy country that can absorb third world subjects. Soon we’ll all be Second World economies (of course with the proper leadership)

https://www.cnbc.com/2021/08/18/61percent-of-americans-paid-no-federal-income-taxes-in-2020-tax-policy-center-says.html

“61% of Americans paid no federal income taxes in 2020, Tax Policy Center says...”

Reasons

- More than 100 million U.S. households, or 61% of all taxpayers, paid no federal income taxes last year, according to a report from the Tax Policy Center.

- The pandemic and federal stimulus led to a huge spike in the number of Americans who either owed no federal income tax or received tax credits from the government.

- The main reasons for the spike — high unemployment, large stimulus checks and generous tax credit programs — will largely expire after 2022

********

And it hasn’t gotten better.

Meanwhile...

“This well could be where Barack and Michelle Obama spend their retirement years — assuming, of course, that they will ever fully retire. It sits on 3 acres in the community of Waimanalo on the island of Oahu. They bought the property back in 2015 for $8.7 million.”

Not to mention their other cribs.

... it now takes more than $100,000 a year for a typical U.S. household to live “the American Dream” in all 50 states,...

Yikes, I used to think that was a lot. My dad was so happy when he reached $10,000 a year salary shortly before he passed away. Living the American Dream while raising 5 kids; my mom contributed with part-time jobs as a waitress or house-cleaner. That was the 1950s/1960s. We were poor but happy.

Salaries don't support families like they used to.

My new Obama (Michelle) comment (DNCspeech)
“She and my father did not aspire to be wealthy.” Michelle said (via PBS NewsHour). “In fact, they were suspicious of folks who took more than they needed. They understood that it wasn’t enough for their kids to thrive if everyone else around us was drowning.”
Are they throwing out floatation devices?
