Federal judge lets Iowa keep challenging voter rolls although naturalized citizens may be affected

DES MOINES, Iowa (AP) — A federal judge ruled Sunday that Iowa can continue challenging the validity of hundreds of ballots from potential noncitizens even though critics said the effort threatens the voting rights of people who’ve recently become U.S. citizens.

U.S. District Judge Stephen Locher, an appointee of President Joe Biden, sided with the state in a lawsuit filed by the American Civil Liberties Union in the Iowa capital of Des Moines on behalf of the League of Latin American Citizens of Iowa and four recently naturalized citizens. The four were on the state’s list of questionable registrations to be challenged by local elections officials.

The state’s Republican attorney general and secretary of state argued that investigating and potentially removing 2,000 names would prevent illegal voting by noncitizens. GOP officials across the U.S. have made possible voting by noncitizen immigrants a key election-year talking point even though it is rare. Their focus has come with former President Donald Trump falsely suggesting that his opponents already are committing fraud to prevent his return to the White House.

In his ruling Sunday, Locher pointed to a U.S. Supreme Court decision four days prior that allowed Virginia to resume a similar purge of its voter registration rolls even though it was impacting some U.S. citizens. He also cited the Supreme Court’s recent refusal to review a Pennsylvania Supreme Court decision on state electoral laws surrounding provisional ballots. Those Supreme Court decisions advise lower courts to “act with great caution before awarding last-minute injunctive relief,” he wrote.

This could be the most botched cheat game that the Democrats ever didn’t plan out right.

Everyone in the MSM and the DEMs are spouting off that one Iowa poll to try and convince voters Trump can't win. They'll probably be successful with a few voters.

pedo joe, the mouthy garbage boy, got 70,000 less votes in Iowa in 2020 than Bronco Bama got in 2008.
President Trump beat the pedo in Iowa by 140,000 votes in 2020.

Look for “Faceload” Harris to get less than pedo joe’s 2020 number.

I sure hope Trump’s new people are cataloguing all these statements for future legal action. Every instance of ‘lie’ and ‘false’, etc. needs to be recorded.

How do you ‘falsely suggest’ something?

I honestly think this is an answer to prayer.

Many of us have been praying that God would expose the corruption, plans, and schemes of the left. And He has.

And we’ve been praying that He would somehow thwart the plans to cheat. And it looks like He’s doing that, too.

Likewise, that He would bring confusion to their counsels and plans and that they would miscarry or backfire. Seems like He’s working on that, too.

This election requires Divine Intervention to accomplish what we the people have no power to because the corruption and evil is so deep and pervasive. It’s like an infection that has gone septic. It’s so widespread and complete, that drastic measures are needed to keep the patient alive beyond being on life support.

Our country is on life support right now.

You have read my mind, God is exposing those against him and showing the wise to be foolish.

Don’t complain if you support laws that don’t require proof of citizenship for registration

Ever since 2008 I’ve noticed God drawing and redrawing the line in the sand, deeper and more distinct with each time.

He’s making it blindingly clear what we’re choosing, which is good vs evil.

And I think that’s so when He finally does drop the curtain down and bring judgment on this world, NOBODY can say they didn’t know. There will be no room for excuses.

I’ve observed the Des Moines Register for over fifty years and conservatives in Iowa affectionately called it the “Red Rag.” Their polls usually under poll republicans from 5 to 9 points. Also, a memory refresher: the Register was right in the middle of the fiasco that helped destroy the democrat caucus back in ‘20. They play ball with democrat power brokers and have been on the forefront of fake media for decades. Hopefully, their demise is coming. Iowa deserves better.

Background on this is Iowa SOS ID’d a list of possibly non-citizens registered as voters and asked local SS office which were born or naturalized citizens. Local Feds checked the list, figured out who were which only to have DC Feds block them from giving info to Iowa SOS! Who dang sure belonged on the need to know list! Heard that on talk radio in Iowa last week from a naturalized radio host. Who said it wouldn’t bother him one bit to bring his proof of citizenship along to vote nor to be challenged as potentially ineligible because he certainly doesn’t sound like was born here! Those naturalized and legally organized who filed the lost suit sure seem capable of doing the same. They scanned my “real id” drivers license when I early voted so I provided my proof.

Seriously you’re in my head. I have had the same thoughts and quiet intuitions through prayer. Christ is making it obvious to all there are two sides and giving everyone a choice. My wife and I discuss this often and at church many have the same perceptions.

A choice must be made and no ambiguity exists.

They are making a point of challenging this now, before to ensure that if they need to bring it up later the judges will not be able to say “Laches” you did not raise this issue beforehand, so you have no right to bring it up now.

In the name of four people BRAND NEW citizens having to work through voting probably thousands of canceling votes could take place.

Good job Judge. The same thing happened in TX and it was tens of thousands of unidentified aliens involved.
