The recriminations that follow a Kamala defeat will be delicious
The Spectator ^ | 24 October 2024 | Becket Adams

Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign is in trouble, which means we may be in for one hell of a post-election fireworks show.

If she loses the presidential election, there will be intra-Democratic Party in-fighting unlike anything we’ve seen before. The recriminations will be extraordinary. There will be finger-pointing, backstabbing, excuse-making and an air of panic that will make even the sleazy, widespread gossip-peddling that followed the late Senator John McCain’s defeat in 2008 look tame.

How do we know this will happen? Because it has happened before, albeit on a smaller scale.

In December 2019, when Harris dropped out of the 2020 Democratic primary before the Iowa caucuses, there was a windfall of terrific gossip regarding her leadership style, or lack thereof, staffer dysfunction, inexcusable mismanagement, even the meddling of her control-freak sister, Maya. Earlier, in 2016, we saw much of the same when Hillary Clinton somehow managed to lose a winnable election to a game show host despite enjoying every conceivable advantage. The only real difference between the two events is that the recriminations in 2016 were far more muted than what Harris’s inner circle allowed for in 2019. Say what you will about Clintonland, but they’re nothing if not loyal.

I think the media will try to tell us the lesson is “Kamala ran a bad campaign”.

But the real lesson is — Democrats have awful, unAmerican policies and the American people have rejected the unAmerican policies of the Democrat Party and embraced the Conservative policies of Donald Trump. Patriotism and economic nationalism are what the vast majority of Americans are looking for and the communists and perverts are not wanted here.

I remember the 2008 McCain debacle. All his handlers blamed Sarah Palin for the loss...nevermind that Palin was the only person that kept that loss from becoming a 49-State Mondalesque blowout.

I can't stand this simplistic, all-or-nothing dichotomy viewpoint. Sure it will be wonderful if Trump wins, and if by a landslide it's worth a National Holiday for a WEEK.

There are several possible outcomes. One is if Trump wins the presidency, but the Dems decisively take the House and Senate, in which case Trump is all but neutered, he'll be "impeached" 2 or 3 more times, and the fake indictments and criminal court cases will fly. The Dems will take that thankfully and joyfully. If Trump wins and the Dems retain, and build on, their senate majority, no Supreme Court justices will be appointed under Trump. You can count on it.

If Harris somehow "wins" and Dems win both chambers of congress, it's all over. The criminalization of all conservatives will be assured. We will be a living Orwell novel.

If Harris "wins" but loses one or both Houses of Congress, the buying of the RINO's will assure a practical Dem majority for the purposes of passing their more "palatable" agenda items, most likely an "Equality Act" which effectively criminalizes Christianity except in the innermost confines of our homes. And we better keep quiet about THAT.

Exactly. Articles like this are a little premature.

Two points...

First, if the people at the top of the cabal we call Deep State get outta Dodge one step ahead of the posse, probably with all of the tax money they have stolen and can still steal, who will be running the country between Election Day and Inauguration Day?

Second, even if Trump gets back into the WH, Deep State will still likely control the Congress, the SCOTUS, most of the judiciary, and the bureaucracy. And have other Deep States as their allies.

Trump elected will be a battle won, not the war.

Trump elected will be a battle won, not the war.

Trump will be a speed bump in that scenario.

But, possibly drowned out by rent-a-mob criminals throwing their predictable tantrum
