Both the Harris-Walz presidential ticket and now lame-duck President Joe Biden keep insisting that they are Israel’s best friend.
A snarly Biden recently bragged at a contentious press conference, “No administration has helped Israel more than I have. None, none, none. And I think [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu] should remember that.”
Yet the thin-skinned and triggered Biden’s prickliness poorly hid—or perhaps revealed—the truth: This current administration knows that it is responsible for the current explosion of the Middle East and the particular dilemmas of Israel.

Biden’s comment about how Israel should be grateful for what he has done is so imperialistic. Is Israel Biden’s child?
I don’t know how these democrats sleep at night.
What happened on October 7 2023 in Israel is ENTIRELY the fault of the current administration.
Only people with no conscience could delude themselves and try to absolve themselves of culpability.
How many people have died?
This is the stuff of nightmares.
Just ask the Israelis.
An all out war would settle it. No need for honesty. Way past that.
How does it follow from your opening that we should give them anything?
Here’s my problem with this:
Is Israel an independent state, or is it a satrapy or military dependency of the United States? It can’t be both at the same time.
If it is an independent state, there should be no such thing as “Biden”, or “the US”, “holding them back”. Attack who they want to attack, kill who they want to kill, accept the consequences - I’m fine with that. Seriously. Nuke Iran if they want to, before Iran nukes them. Independent states can and should look out for their own interests.
BUT
If Israel is independent EXCEPT when it comes to supplies of weapons, money, control of the UN Security Council, and advanced surveillance and forward air defense - then Israel is not independent at all, and in exchange for what we do for them, without which they would disappear- THEN, as our military dependency they had damn well better listen to what our government has to say, and even follow orders if it is important enough to us.
Which is it?
Yes, I agree.
This is a logical fallacy. It is a false delimma, which claims there are only two options.
In fact, there are an infinite number of options and permutations, of which the two listed are only examples.
For example, Israel can be an independent state, and a strong ally of the United States, both at the same time.
Israel can be a strong ally of the United States, and the USA can attempt to influence Israel's actions, and Israel can attempt to influence the actions of the USA, both in varying degrees.
The either this or that, with nothing in between is known as a false dilemma.
Yes that senile SOB convinced Israel to all off their infrastructure attack on Iran.
Israel is killing radical muslims, and that's a good thing. We should help any way we can, with offense and defense, and there should be no strings attached, especially war prosecution direction.
