"This entire administration is naifs, weaklings, idiots, and Marxists," I posted at Instapundit earlier this week about a different Middle East report, but today's news proves that my estimation was entirely too optimistic.
In an Atlantic piece headlined "The War That Would Not End," Franklin Foer takes readers on a deep dive "inside the year-long American effort to release the hostages, end the fighting in Gaza, and bring peace to the Middle East." It isn't that Foer's peace isn't well-sourced or lacking details — it's that he needed to go back much further than one year to tell the story.

The story begins almost as soon as Biden assumed (and I do mean assumed) office on Jan. 20, 2021. From my long-form Monday column:
Less than one month into his solitary, sad little term, Biden lifted former president Donald Trump’s restoration of U.N. sanctions on Iran. The White House and the State Steno Pool sold the move as something that "could help Washington move toward rejoining the 2015 nuclear agreement aimed at reining in the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program." Trump had withdrawn from Barack Obama's "Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, or JCPOA, in 2018, accusing Iran of serious violations."

This entire administration is full of the crazy/loony/half witted/liars/felons/and all around dangerous filthy people.

Simple math, but 3 camps, not 2:
1. The camp which supports Israel’s right to exist, that understands there’s no such thing as a ‘palestinian’ and that islam is not a religion (typically Conservatives),
2. The camp which prefers to stoke tensions for perpetual crisis/conflict, an irony of convenient bedfellows between DS/neocons and demoncrats, i.e., the globalist agenda which includes mass migration of islamists (typically progressive demoncrat leaders and globalists),
3. The camp which actually believes all the BS put forth by #2 (typically leftist/progressive voters), believes in palestinian ‘state’ and supports the progressive agenda without sound rationale (typical democrats and their progressive block).
And somewhere within is where the author lies with his belief that the left (or the neocon republicans, for that matter) ever had any intent of ME ‘peace’ whatsoever (prolly #2).
Biden yelling at meeting: Let’s send billions to Iran! and undermine Israel”
Someone says: “That would only finance more terrorism”
Biden response: “mumbling, whispering incoherent thoughts”
The rest in the meeting: “Right away Sir! We will send the money! and undermine Israel!”
