wo people charged with conspiracy to damage energy facilities – a neo-Nazi leader and a woman with whom he had a personal relationship – allegedly planned to attack electrical substations encircling Baltimore and “completely destroy” the entire city, according to federal court documents.

The Justice Department has charged Brandon Clint Russell and Sarah Beth Clendaniel with conspiracy to damage energy facilities, alleging that the Maryland-focused plot was driven by ethnically or racially motivated extremist beliefs.

They “conspired to inflict maximum harm on the power grid,” Tom Sobocinski, who heads the FBI’s field office in Baltimore, said during a news conference Monday. “The accused were not just talking, but taking steps to fulfill their threats and further their extremist goals.”

The charges come as domestic violence experts have warned that attempts by extremist groups to attack power facilities are trending up.

60 or 70 years ago Baltimore was the garment capital of the USA. London Fog was headquartered there. Hart, Schafner, and Marx manufactured their suits there. Over 30,000 people were employed in the garment industry. The quality of American made clothing was superb. Now we wear Bangladeshi rags.

One bright spot for Baltimorons is the candidacy for Congress of MAGA candidate Kim Klacik. She is running for the district adjacent to Baltimore.

In his book, The Road to Serfdom, Hayek argued that socialism and totalitarianism are not exclusive to the left and that collectivist ideologies can arise on the right as well. He pointed out that the Nazis combined elements of state control and collectivism with nationalist and authoritarian principles, making them a form of right-wing socialism.

Klacik is terrific. Really miss her on radio, though, since doing all this campaigning. She was on I think last time she ran, but not since.

Also love Yripsy, but her last candidacy also took her away from radio.

I love these people I got to listen to on radio all the time. Unfortunately they lost, and they’re not on radio anymore. I’m more comfortable with them, having heard them ALOT on radio.

Being in Ellicott City and further, son going to Mt. St. Joe, we have lots of contact with Catonsville easily. All my life but more since we lived this location for 15 years. Learned alot also from NextDoor, from which I was banned several years ago and just gave up trying to placate them. The hippies that move in and destroy everything disgust me. Especially with their back-handed slaps at everyone who doesn’t toe their lines of “Hate Has No Home Here” for Christmas and yes, BLM signs at the door to a toy store! Disgusting.
