The suspect accused of trying to assassinate Donald Trump at his Florida golf course wrote a chilling note months earlier declaring he intended to kill the former president, the Justice Department said Monday.
Ryan Wesley Routh, 58, allegedly dropped the note — addressed “To the World” — off in a box at an unnamed person’s home in the months before the foiled assassination attempt at the West Palm Beach golf course on Sept. 15, federal prosecutors said in a court filing.
“This was an assassination attempt on Donald Trump but I failed you,” the letter read.
“I tried my best and gave it all the gumption I could muster. It is up to you now to finish the job; and I will offer $150,000 to whomever can complete the job.”
The note goes on to say that “everyone across the globe from the youngest to the oldest know that Trump is unfit to be anything, much less a US president.
“U.S. presidents must at bare minimum embody the moral fabric that is America and be kind, caring and selfless and always stand for humanity.”
The handwritten note was only discovered after the person opened the box and alerted authorities in the wake of Routh’s arrest, prosecutors said.

This loser is a delusional clown. He talks like he’s a good person but he defrauded people out of their money. He’s a piece of garbage. I hope he runs out of Vaseline in prison.
1. Why on Earth would the DOJ release this?
2. Where does this nut bar get money to fly all over the world let alone offer $150,000 for someone to assassinate Trump?
3. When does Routh Epstein bomself?

1. This came from a court filing against Routh, not a press release. The letter itself demonstrates his criminal intent.
2. Don’t know, but we’ll all know before this is done.
3. Good question.
